as would I, back wasnt having it. That and after the crowds grew, more and more people were bumping me. A little to early from surgery to deal with that much "bumping"

Summit Extra Stout Porter. Best beer I had today.

Surly 3? Black Ops? Fiery Hell? Cacao Bender? Or any of Dave's or Borealis' brews? All those were sublime.

For me, forest fire from big wood, 1414, and three hour tour.

Great time, great to see everyone.

Didn't have a favorite but some that highlights were:

    TH Three Hour Tour
    Surly Brettwagon
    Surly Three
Pt5 with vanilla and cacao beans
    1414

I was personally disappointed by Surly Cacao Bender. I thought the cacao, vanilla and coffee was very subdued. All in all, a very fun event with tons of good beer and some great BA's I met.

There were a lot of good brews and all in all it was a great time. Central Waters' Barrel Aged Stout took the cake for me. Also really enjoyed Black Note and the Barrel Aged Pentagram.

I like whiskey flavored stouts and all, but I can drop a shot of Makers Mark into Yeti or Rasputan any ole day of the week and get the same effect. Maybe I'm a lot tipsy, but that stout from Summit was phenomenal. I had five samples for crying out loud. I've never done that a beer fest before.

What was amazing was seeing the community out in full force. It seemed everywhere I turned, I was running into someone else I knew. Great seeing you all and meeting some new ones!

    Favorites:
    CW 1414
Surly Three, Brettwagon, Fiery Hell, Barrelled Pentagram and Wet all the way (insanely good)
    Deschuttes '09 Mirror Mirror
Town Hall Chocoweizen and Three Hour Tour (always sublime)
Daves Brew Farm Citra Saison (I believe?)
Borealis Mon Cherrie and...forgot the other one, but it was awesome
Dark Horse Plead the 5th with coco and vanilla
Schells Stag Ale with Nelson Sauvin hops - this was incredible

All in all, just a great day

CW 1414 and Bell's Blacknote were great. I didn't get any Surly - not enough dedication to stand in line that long, though it seems they did a better job than previous years with signage, etc. Dave's Brew Farm's Citra and SOB OMG were pretty phenomenal too.

So many great beers. I was glad to try Black Ops and Edmund. Lots of great big stouts. Wet All The Way, Three Hour Tour and Hopsolution also stood out. I could really list at least another 10 beers.

Mike - you were raving about Reverend Red from Barley John's but you didn't list that as your favorite. What gives?

We had lots of interesting beers. Everything I had from Surly was pretty good and I thought Fitgers and Dave's Brewfarm were good as well. Shout out to Pour Decisions for their Berliner w/raspberry - great beer on such a hot day.

Seemed more busy than years past but I guess that's the way it goes.

    My favs:

    CW 1414 and BBS
    Surly Cacao Bender
    Deschutes 2010 Jubel
    Bella's Oracle and black Note
    Town Hall 3 hour tour

Beers I was disappointed in (not saying they were bad, they just didn't hit me right)
    Brooklyn Black Ops
    Deschutes Abyss 11

As for Surly's one-offs, I didn't feel like standing in line. I'm sure most were awesome though.

I hope all the BAs had as great of a time as I did.

Fitger's 1100 BA Wheat Wine was my first sample of the day & the best, hands down.

Also loved 1414 (of course), Mirror Mirror. Consolation prize for biggest surprise was the tasty brown ale I had from Excelsior. Anyone who can make a plain ol' brown taste that good has some chops. I'll be seeking out more of their stuff.
