I am a bit partial to a Triple from Pretty Things brewing called Fluffy White Rabbits. A really great one IMO.

op, doesn't sound like it's the country of origin that matters... sounds like you want a tripel with somewhat cleaner yeast contribution than the style typically calls for. Before you give up on well made examples of the style, try De Dolle Dulle Teve and De Ranke Guldenberg. And as others have mentioned, Fluffy White Rabbits might be a fit.

there are also plenty of poorly done US tripels that you might like... boozy and spicy without any fruitiness or phenolic character, often overhopped

La Fin Du Monde from Unibroue is number one and Long Strange Tripel from Boulevard Brewing Co. is not far behind, honorable mention is Trippel Belgian Style from New Belgium.

I really need to grab a bottle of that Green Peppercorn Triple. It's always there, I've just never pulled the trigger for a bottle because it is always available.

I have taken about a year-long hiatus from tripels, and I'm probably much in the same boat as the OP. However, I stopped by the bottle shop on Saturday to pick up a Westmalle and La Fin Du Monde just to see where I stand after the time off. If I like them, I'll probably stock a four-pack of Allagash for the rest of the winter, otherwise I'll stick with the darker Belgian styes.

Locally - I like Three Chopt Tripel from Lickinghole Creek Craft Brewery; the tequilla aged version is pretty interesting as well.

On a wider scale I like Allagash Tripel Ale and La Fin Du Monde.

My standard for this style is Corsendonk Agnus Triple (note the picture in BA's review are confusing, Abbey Pale is not Agnus triple) - Since Corsendonk uses the same label for all their beers, this was hiding in plain sight for me, one day, I looked closer and saw the Agnus triple wording, tried it, zowie magically delicous.

I absolutely love Third Base from Elevation Brewing. While nowhere near as ester-heavy as the Belgian ones, I think it's just about perfect. It's like drinking a pineapple upside-down cake.
