Favorite Barrel-Aged Saison?

    Surette, Love Buzz and others are fermented in Foeders, not what I really meant on Barrel Aged Saisons.

    Haven't had too many but the ones I have tried were great, Stillwater Stateside Saison - Chardonnay Barrel Aged, BFM XV, and Evolution Fall Migration all stand out with having nice tartness and great balance!

    Love Buzz and it's not even close. Quite possibly my favorite beer ever. Can't wait for the next batch.

    BFM 225 was absolutely delightful. Had everything I loved about a saison and everything I loved about a sour at the same time. Stillwater Debauched Brunello barrel aged was almost just as good. Love Buzz was also fantastic but different from 225 and Debauched in that it was more fruity, had Brett and was less sour. Sahalie was very unique and tasty but not as stellar as the first three I mentioned. I had Allagash Interlude years ago and I remember liking it but it was before I reviewed beers so I couldn't tell you what I liked about it or even how it tasted.

    I hope this year is the year of BA Saisons, last year was pretty good already. Hill Farmstead, Tired Hands, Sante Adairius, Crooked Stave, Logsdon, Upright.... let's see more of these.
