What would you say is your favorite beer bar in DFW? Based on atmosphere, selection, location, and staff. Ones that stick out for me are -Craft & Growler -Strangeways -Meddlesome Moth -The Libertine
Moth Common Table Oak Street Flying Saucer Still need to check out strangeways, the revamp of the FW Pourhouse and Bird's Cafe.
Strangeways, Craft & Growler and Goodfriend are my go to's. Bottle Shop and Dallas Beer Kitchen I also enjoy when I'm feeling frisky. I'm going to start going to Strangeways Monday's right after work, if anyone is ever interested in meeting up. $4 for anything that is on the board. BM me Bro!
Common Table (overall favorite), Craft and Growler, and Goodfriend are my main rotation in that order. In FW: Live Oak, Zio Carlo, and Bearded Lady. I also really like the one-two in Lower Greenville with The Bottle Shop and The Libertine, or when it's really nice outside, go to Oak Cliff for Chicken Scratch/The Foundry. Strangeways is technically the closest one to me and I'll still happily drive past them every time.
I have no idea how Strangeways slid under my radar for so long. I live about a mile away and never knew it existed.
Some people love it. Some people hate it. Very few fall in between. I'd highly suggest you not go on a Friday or Saturday night, unless you like crowds. Sit at the bar.
for Midcities guys like me, we don't have much to choose from. I enjoy Ron's Tavern from time to time, but usually venture to Craft and Growler every other week or so.
Meddlesome Moth Ginger Man Flying Saucer *Union Park Gastro Pub *Fillmore Pub in Plano *I list these two because of location - I work downtown and they are close to the train stations (Dallas & Plano). No driving!
