Okay, I'll be the first to break the Lager barrier (though I saw someone with Sam Winter up above):

Bocks and Winter Festbier releases. Looking forward to the Hofbrau Winter again this year, some of Schell's up and coming, and Sprecher's Winter because I haven't had it in a while.

Doppelbocks for me, too- along with a host of other rich higher-gravity selections, plus the occasional spiced beer for when I'm feeling festive. Some faves-
    Ayinger Celebrator
    Doppel Hirsch
    Aventinus
    Schlenkerla Urbock and Eiche
    Pannepot Reserva
    Trois Pistoles
    Sinebrychoff Porter
    Brooklyn BCS
    Southern Tier 2XMAS

I find myself reaching for that four pack of Celebrator Doppelbock more in the cold months.

Most definitely- it's great year-round, but somehow takes on a special evocative quality when the weather turns cold.

I thought of one more- since it was recently made available again, I forsee myself drinking a lot of McEwan's Scotch Ale this year as well.

I guess RIS and BSDA, but the weather here hardly warrants seasonal drinking.

I just move back into stouts when Winter hits. But, really, anything bigger and maltier and I'm happy. Like, Backwoods Bastard is probably my ideal winter beer even though I drink maybe a four pack of it. Also, I feel my knowledge of quads is severely lacking given what I've tried from other styles so I plan on drinking more of those. I'm also down for more pumpkin ale hence my keeping plenty of Pumking and Whole Hog on hand in my beer closet.

Stouts and Porters. Brown ales are good too. My mind seems to reject these styles when the temperature is above 65 degrees, which is a shame because I consider these to be my favorite styles year-round.

Good thinking -- I have to remember to keep an eye out for that.

Porters in the cooler evenings of fall really call to me and stouts and scotch ales and coffee beers lure me in during winter. however anything that is looking good at the moment no matter what the season I am in.

scotch ales and imperial stouts, but still gotta get my hop fix in! A cold weather IPA is always a nice change of pace.

I'll drink just about anything at any time of the year but I do lean more heavily toward certain styles at different points in the year, especially Fall/Winter. Mid September I'll start drinking Octoberfests, and start mixing in some pumpkin ales in October. I really like brown ales mid to late November and move onto Porters after Thanksgiving, until the snow starts to fall and then it's mostly imperial stouts, barley wines, and scotch ales.

I do exactly those 3 styles, perhaps with browns first, then stouts/porters. I agree with the whole desirability/temperature observation. I LOVE all three styles, but can count on one hand how many times I've had them in warm weather. I tend to drink german hefe's as my year round session beer, but once the weather chills off, nothing beats big & malty in the snowy season. It may be sacrilege to the whole thread, but I tend to only drink whiskey/bourbon in the winter. Something about it turns me off on a hot day.

I usually drink more brown ales, heffenwiezens, and the occasional pumpkin beer in the fall.
In the winter I prefer anything barrel aged, imperial stouts, old ales, and barley wines.

the weather doesnt really affect my preference of beer style, I can understand why it would for some people I guess, but it just doesnt affect me the same way. Ive been drinking Narwhal all through the summer and it is always delicious. I guess I drink more stouts and barleywines through the winter but that is just due to more of them being available at the time.

edit: I dont even chill that Narwhal either, room temp, so good

I drink the hell out of stouts in the winter. This year I have been seeking out coffee stouts in particular, and, not suprising, my coffee intake has gone through the roof. Go figure.
