favorite beer style for winter

    It's a damn strange question in my mind. Typically (as pointed out in this thread thus far) people think porters, stouts, etc. However the fresh hop thing runs into late fall, early winter then around the beginning of the year we start in with the Hopslams, Nugget Nectars, etc. Funny that folks state spring and summer is IPA time.

    Stouts, Porters and Trippel or Quad Belgians.....and otherwise a nice IPA or DIPA :slight_smile:

    I got a Samuel Smith's Winter Welcome and a 12 pack of the Saranac Winter Sampler. It's supposed to be in the 20's tonight and tomorrow so I figure some of the beers are appropriate to crack.

    Same as every other season, IPAs and DIPAs but I usually drink a few porters and stouts as the weather cools
