I'd put Apple Brandy Mexican Cake up there too if we were just talking about Barrel Aged.

BA Speedway because I just drank it last night, and the speedway was prevalent and the barrel followed behind.

I just drank my first BA speedway last night and was blown away. I probably will not let my other bottles cellar for much longer because I am afraid the coffee will fade. Cheers man you will not be disappointed.

Good to hear, regular speedway is in my top 5 beers so I'm sure the BA will be great.

Ive tried kbs, bcbs and bcbs coffee, sunday morning stout, siberian night;central waters ba stout and a few more. For me, the bcbs coffee was the best, was lucky enough to try it on tap and it was astonishing .for me the taste of kbs is slightly bourbon heavy, still great but id have it behind the others i mentioned.

Trade for that one it is a must try its indulgent and decadent in its BA and layers of flavor.

I've only had a few bourbon barrel stouts, Blue Mountain Brewery Dark Hollow, Big Bad Baptist, but my favorite so far has been New Holland Dragons Milk, have had it draft and bottled. My wife and I enjoy this as a dessert beer.

Wow, big question. I have lots but I'll narrow it down to 3 or 4 for the sake of this post.

    Evil Twin BBA IBB
    BCBS
    Great Divide BBA Yeti
    Parabola

For starters. All four are world-class beers. So many more to list, but those four really resonate with me.

CBS - one of the few maple bourbon stouts i've had and its fantastic
Double Barrel Jesus - hard to beat that chocolate fruit bomb
Bent Paddle BADSDB - coffee, vanilla, and a little heat
BCBCS 13 - had a bottle at a vanilla rye tapping and i still think about it today

The scene is a Canadian visiting Fort Collins, CO for a conference. I "had" to stay an extra day because of flight connections - or so I told my wife and those who needed to know.

I do the New Belgium tour. It was nice. They are very generous with free beer in the tour.

I visit Odell. Awesome. Such a great brewery. Great patio. Better beer. Likely one of the better IPAs.

But, I went down to the States with one goal in mind. I needed to try Pliny the Elder. Choice City Butcher and Deli told me they would happen to have it on tap the day I was there. It was all set. I walk into the place and order me a Pliny. Nope. The keg has not been tapped and likely won't be for a couple days. I'll be back in snowy Canada by then With great dejection I look at the tap list and ask for a recommendation. Parabola '15 is there. I say, " Sure, I guess." Still dejected on being shut out on Pliny.

I sit down at my table not at all aware of the absolute treasure I have in my glass. I take the nose of the beer and it becomes readily apparent that this is not your ordinary beer. I spent the next hour in conversation with this beer. Likely one of the best beer experiences I've ever had.

Out of genuine curiosity, I must ask. What is the difference between what you consider the best and what you consider your favorite?

Probably the bourbon county by goose island is the winner in my opinion

Well I wouldnt consider BA Blackout the best BA stout on the planet, but I just love the beer. It was the only beer that GLBC put in a barrel, and my love for GLBC knows no bounds. They were my first brewery tour, and "that beer" that turned me to the good side.

The best are well the best in the glass. Kind of like how I dont think Milbrandt Merlot is the best WA Merlot, but its my favorite.
