The ones with high quality products and wide variety of styles. Can't stand breweries with 98% of their portfolio being one or two styles. And when they try to do something different, they fail.

I'll assume you're only talking about U.S. breweries as doing it globally would be difficult. On the other hand I always have Unibroue and Spaten on hand. Tough question.

I've been a huge Victory and Stone person since my last return to craft, so those are probably way up there for non-local beers I can get (although Stone just opened a brewery here, so, guess they are local now?). My most commonly visited and favorite local breweries are The Veil andThe Answer, and as for "out of my distro" favorites, I'd say Odd Side, Carton, Olde Hickory, Other Half and Fat Head's. I'm probably forgetting a few breweries that are pretty important to me, but that's what I'm thinking off the top of my head.

I have a love/hate relationship with this question, as others have said, because it changes. But here's my current top 10, not necessarily in order.
    • Dogfish Head
    • Bells
    • Founders
    • Shorts
    • New Glarus
    • Jagged Mountain
    • Troegs
    • Green Flash
    • Cascade
    • Deschutes
    * Honorable mentions
    • Boston Beer (Portfolio driven)
    • Solemn Oath
    • Revolution
The list could go on and on

    Cheers!

A timely topic since I just finished my year-end bookkeeping and budgeting. According to both my wife and my credit card statements, I spent most of our food budget last year at either Hill Farmstead or Trillium. Notable sums were also spent at Jack's Abby, Tree House and Brick & Feather.
