Ok, I'm sure this is come up many times before, but I am going to be in Denver for a business trip on the weekend of Feb. 1st. I have a few ideas on breweries to visit, but would love input from locals. So, what is your favorite brewery in Denver and why?

What is the point of this? Either look down on this page or do a search, no need for this tomfoolery.

Not an easy question to answer, but I'll go with Prost. Really good German beer, relaxed atmosphere, pretty good view of downtown. Hogshead would be #2, but it's a bit small. Followed by Bull/Bush, Crooked Stave, Strange, Wits End, Great Divide, Dry Dock, Rickoli, Vine St Pub, Renegade, TRVE....

I do not believe Caution! or Dry Dock or Rickoli are in Denver; at least two of these would feature in my top ten, if they were.

Avery, if you're including Boulder. They tap a new beer (would say it's a new, never been tapped beer half the time, and return of small batches the other half) every Friday. They really can't be beat in terms of variety and continually brewing new beer, at least no where in Colorado that I've been too. Go to Crooked Stave if you're a sour guy (however, they don't have Eremita VI...), atmosphere is most important to you or you can't leave Denver, otherwise, Avery.

    Breweries: 1. Great Divide 2. Renegade 3. Prost 4. TRVE 5.Crooked Stave 6. Wit's End 7. River North
    Bar/Food: 1. Freshcraft 2. Hops & Pie 3. Rackhouse 4. Falling Rock

I still need to check out Jagged Mountain, Black Shirt and Station 26.
Need to revisit Denver Beer Co. but wasn't a huge fan the few times I was there. Epic is okay to me. Bull & Bush has great for bar food (fish and chips!) and good English beers. Copper Kettle makes one of the best Denver beers in Mexican Choc Stout. Dry Dock, Caution and Rickoli are solid but not technically Denver as mentioned above.

Oh shoot, I left out Black Shirt, how could I do that? Put them at 7 and move everybody back one. And add River North to the group I have tied at 10 (now 11). I'm pretty sure Copper Kettle is in Aurora, or unincorporated Arapahoe County. But definitely not Denver.

Prost. Traditional German lagers done better than anyone except the Germans themselves. Awesome location away from all the craziness, awesome view, nice staff, great prices, community style tables, it's just fantastic. If I were ever to construct my dream tap room/brewery, it would basically be a clone of Prost but with a more authentic exterior.

Right but there's big sections of unincorporated Arapahoe that aren't in Denver but are served by a Denver post office and therefore have a "Denver" mailing address but definitely aren't Denver. I am almost positive Copper Kettle is In such a part of inicorporated Arapahoe, but claim them if you want, to each his own.

Yak and Yeti (in Arvada) for awesome Indian food and good brews made on-site. Never seen this combo before and they manage to make a solid product.

Heck, I've never seen this question before! There are so many front range recommendation threads, can we just pin this to the top or something? Help out all those simps who can't manage the search or "places" function?
