Depends on the definition of "budget". In college Yuengling was living. Now when I think "budget" I'm looking for solid drinkability. My two faves are still Dogfish 60 minute and Victory Prima.

If you're looking for *value*, I'm thinking Victory Golden Monkey and Troegs Troegenator.

Dang....that's crazy. I live in NW Burbs and it's a lot cheaper than that. I wonder why the discrepancy is so large.

    Sierra Nevadas flagships @ <$15/12
That's 2 a day through the week,1 for both nights of the weekend.
I can live with that. I need my two after a day of work more than on the weekend, anyways.
I don't enjoy PBR, Rolling Rock, Hamm's or any other dirt-cheap macro. If Teacte were ~$8/12, that could be an option.
Plenty of bargain bourbons about the price of PBR that I'd rather drink than it, too.
If I want to punish myself for ending up in this (financial) situation, I'm not above getting a couple tall boys of Camo for 99c apiece. For some reason the stores always seem to be out of all but the 12.2% Black Ultra. That's punishment for ya.

I will confirm this. Market Basket up my ways runs Smutty for 9.99 a twelver on occasion and SN for 11.99 at times. And they really turn their inventory so everything is typically about 4 weeks old.

Didn't read through the whole thread but I'm wondering if anyone's suggested a sixer of Avery's Ellie's Brown Ale cans. Solid tasty brown ale that should come in under 10 bucks a six. If that's too rich for your blood you may want to buy a bottle of cheap bourbon and come back to the craft beer when things are on the upswing. Shit's pretty spendy.

I find it incredibly irritating that barrel trolley beers are literally brewed a couple miles from where I live yet I cant purchase any.

As far as the subject matter goes, dundee's mixed 12ers go for $10.99 and currently, their O'fest, which I think is tits, runs for $6.99 but I've heard Wally mart sells it for $4.99.

Not sure if it was mentioned but Gansett Bock is good malty beer. A bit higher on ABV too for $8.99 a 6 pack of 16oz
