This year I set a goal to try as.many new beers as possible. So it takes a special beer to make me want to drink over and over but Southern Tier Choklat Oranj blew my mind. I would gladly give up ticking to drink it over and over.

Founders Imperial Stout. Ridiculous amounts of chocolate taste for not being actually brewed with chocolate.

Bike Dog Milk Stout out in Sacramento, CA. Really good stuff, reminds me of drinking chocolate milk!

I have to go with either Brooklyn's Black Chocolate Stout or Southern Tier's Choklat.

Funny you mention this beer, I've tried it a couple times and that beer doesn't even come close to living up to its namesake.

Terrapin Moo-Hoo Chocolate Milk Stout is delicious AND it gets bonus points for being one of the first beers my wife loved. :grinning:

I'm partial to almost all of them. It's a flavor combination that works well for me.
While a little under the radar, Boulder's Shake is potentially my favorite. It's definitely the most drinkable of the bunch.

As a few others have mentioned Samuel Smith's Organic Chocolate Stout is hands down the most chocolate forward beer I've ever had. When people ask me for a chocolate beer recommendation they usually aren't looking for the subtlety that you'll find in some of the other beers I have seen listed in this thread. Their idea of what a chocolate beer should taste like is what Samuel Smith delivers and I can see it on their face when they take a sip. It's the look of "wow this tastes like chocolate soda" as their eyeballs shoot out of their head. Granted I do understand that some people prefer a more "beer-like" chocolate beer.

I think almanacs tequila barrel noir while certainly not just a chocolate flavored beer had the most decadent, unctuous, and natural chocolate notes I've had in a beer yet

For a straight chocolate beer recommendation I'd go with Southern Tier Choklat
