A local brewery did a stout with belgian chocolate. Pretty awesome. As far as widely distributed and accessible, I will say I LOVE fbs' s chocolate notes, and really do actually enjoy a smaller pour of double chocolate stout (10 oz or so). Sometimes a pint is a bit much of that stuff.

Bells Kalamazoo stout, brewed year round, an everyday drinker and can be found for as low as $7.99 a sixer. One of my favorites for any style.

Rogue chocolate and double chocolate were going to be my first suggestions until I read your original post. I love both. Young's is very good, but it doesn't really emphasize the chocolate enough for me to really consider it a chocolate stout. You can't go wrong with Southern Tier's offering or Samuel Smith's though. The latter tastes more like pure dark chocolate than any beer I've ever had, so much so that I can't really drink more than one at a time. If you want to extend this to chocolate porters, I personally enjoy Boulder Shake quite a lot, especially via nitro tap.

Young's Double Chocolate Stout in the can is fantastic, my fave straight up choc stout.

Founder's Breakfast Stout is my top beer, and what turned me on to craft beers in the first place.

Southern Tier Choklat is amazing, but can be a bit overly sweet. Share the bomber!

If you like to taste cocoa with some funk Boulevard Chocolate ale might be for you. I'm more a fan of all the beers getting love in this thread so far.

Another vote for Caldera Mogli- it's not technically a stout, but tastes like one to me. Heavy Seas Siren Noire- Bourbon Barrel Aged is excellent too, amazing chocolateyness with subtle bourbon.

My uncle is currently building his microbrewery in Denver, he and his business partner have brewed a stout based on the white russian cocktail--but with a chocolate-peanut butter twist. It's outf*ckingstanding. The working title is currently "The Dude's Abide" (get it?).

The brewery is Living the Dream Brewing Co. or LTD for short.
