    This time of year?

Any place with an outdoor patio.

All the breweries in town kick ass but another vote for Wit's cause Scott & Pat!

I don't know if Renegade has changed much since it opened, but it had a really cool vibe then.

Definitely FATE. I'd say Avery too, but it's constantly too crowded for my tastes. Upslope North was great when I lived right by it, haven't been to the new one. Backcountry has awesome bartenders and no brewery can beat their selection, food or beer wise. Wild Woods is super cozy too, great atmosphere.

Black Bottle is starting to get more and more love. I really like the atmosphere there and good beer selections both from their own beers and their selections from other breweries.

The new Avery facility opening next year will be a most welcome addition. The atmosphere is fun at the current digs, but they definitely need more space, and the industrial park ambience is, umm, a little lacking to put it mildly. I'll second (or third) the nomination of Equinox in Fort Collins. It's tiny compared to a place like Odell, but the location right in the heart of Old Town is hard to beat.

Agree on both counts, except for the new prison yard patio at Black Shirt. I guess you can't do too much with that location, though, unless you're willing to haul in the outdoor furniture every night. Oh well, the beer is excellent and at least you can sit outside now, even if it is uncomfortable!

I love Renegade for atmosphere. I probably spent the most time there in all of the taprooms I visited in Denver recently. Avery is also a great experience. The people who work there have an awesome attitude and know how to bust ass. I also spent a very enjoyable afternoton (once it started cooling down a bit) at funkwerks out on the grass playing bean bag toss with my four year old.

I just went to Equinox for the first time on Saturday and it's now in my top 3-4. Great prices and great location, with ambiance and great tunes as well.

This thread has been very helpful. We have a group of four guys coming out for the CEDIA convention at the end of September and we want to take in as much of all this as possible.

Everyone has recommended breweries. Are there any cant-miss beer bars to hit? Let's face it, we can only look at beer nerds like ourselves for so long.

EDIT:video supposed to jump to :26 (this edit kills the effect)

For downtown (LoDo, or Lower Downtown, actually), Falling Rock is the can't miss spot, with truly one of the most impressive beer lists in any city. Euclid Hall is closer to most of the hotels, and is also worth checking out. It's more of a restaurant than a true bar scene (the food is quite good), and has a great ambience.

Outside of downtown, I would second Ratman's recommendation of Hops & Pie above. It's an upscale pizzeria in the Highlands neighborhood (a few miles west of downtown), with about 30 beers on tap. On my side of town (Uptown/Cap Hill, just east of downtown), I am a big fan of Cheeky Monk. They have a wide selection of Belgian beers, along with a good smattering of other local and American beers. A little tip: if you go around lunchtime, the beers are half price!

Hopefully that's a good start, I'm sure others will chime in with their opinions.

I enjoy a lot of different spots but when I have someone come visit I always take em to Great Divide. Not sure what it is about that place but it is still my favorite tap room.

Might be the beer and the funny things it does to you?

Thanks, now I have to watch Swingers again...

Star Bar is a must, I think. Never know what they have on tap---looks like a seedy joint, but it's pretty chill.
Freshcraft is on Blake as is Falling Rock. That'll be enough to get you dancing on bars, if that's your thing :sunglasses:
