Proof Brewing Co in Tallahassee, FL is a favorite of mine and other FSU fans/alum alike. We've also got Grasslands, Lake Tribe, and Momo's (a great pizza place that brews a few beers). Soon to come are a few other breweries, which I'm excited to try out.

Although I hate UGA, I'm definitely jealous of their brew scene in Athens, GA.

The Blind Pig in Champaign, IL. Better than the Champagne of beer it's the beer of Champaign  Last I was there, they had a truly fantastic Zwickel Pils, and am almost always amazed at something new they have on offer when I visit.

I am surprised my college town brewery isn't on here yet, Bells.

Walking distance back down to WMU, and an excellent beer garden. Not the best place to study, but Water Street Roasters is super close for that.

Easy one....Free State Brewing, Lawrence, Kansas. Lived there during Law School. I'm told it has kept getting better.

Greensboro, N.C. UNC-Greensboro, Greensboro College, Guilford College, A&T State University, Bennett College, and Guilford Technical Community College. Lots of students year round. Gibbs 100 (my favorite), Preyer Brewing Co. and Natty Greene's for decent beer, good food, and great venue. A couple more are opening soon.

Well, what's the definition of a "college town"? Because most of the widely considered "best beer cities" have a college or two: Seattle, PDX, Frisco, Sandy Ego, Philly, Boston, Chicago all have schools. Hell, probably the only top beer city without a college is Bend.

Fort Collins - home to Colorado State University, is the home of New Belgium, Odells, Fort Collins Brewing Co, Funkwerks, Horse and Dragon, Black Bottle, Coopersmiths, Equinox, Snowbank, Zwei, 1933, and others. Pretty hard to beat that. They also have a couple of the top 50 highest rated tap houses (Tap and Handle, Mayor of Old Town).

But isn't there a college in Asheville, Grand Rapids, Portland, etc? Yes.
