I knew it. Said I wouldn't do it and I did. Bought a 6 pack of extrovert knowing left hand can't make hoppy beers. But saw a few say extrovert was solid. Well I won't do that again. Extrovert is not solid imo. Pretty weak ipa. I will not but this again m we have so many good ipas in Colorado now. Extrovert is not one of them imo. Cheers..

Sounds like you deemed it unworthy before you even tried it.

I'm loving the station 26 Mosaic. It's my favorite of their single hop beers to date. I wish I would have tried it right away when it was fresher, but it's still amazing.

The cans on shelves now are only 4 weeks old. Did you by chance get the 3/18 batch?

I don't know which batch I got. How do I tell?

I believe the S26 cans are dated on the bottom of each can.

The S26 cans are dated on the bottom of the can but you can't tell what the date is until after you buy it and open the box (unless of course you open the box in the store, which may be frowned upon).

date is also on the flat they come in, but then you'd have to ask to see that and hope it came out of that flat...

Just had a Crystal Springs Brewing Company IPA last night and was very impressed. Light color and body, crisp, with a little tropical mixed with pine. Flavors aren't in your face, but the subtlety works well in this beer. IMO it is close to if not on par with most of the other great IPAs currently making the rounds in this thread. I haven't seen this one mentioned before, but if you see it, give it a shot. I loved their 13 IPA when it first came out a few years back, but haven't had it or any other crystal springs beer in over a year. And as a Louisville resident, it feels good to see "Louisville, CO" on the can.

I went and grabbed Honeyman X, Equinox SMaSH and the new Yank Tank today. Honeyman was more of a classic west coast IPA, a nice smash to the face. Equinox is not my favorite hop, but they sure did this one well, my favorite of the three Comrade SMaSH's I've had. Finally, I gotta say, Yank Tank was the real winner. I had a previous batch last year that did nothing for me, but this new version is likely to be a big hit this summer... Go get some!

FYI, Joyride just tapped 'The Director' and 8.2% hazy IPA hopped with Citra, Mosaic, Equinox & Huell Melon hops, pretty stellar.

They kicked the 6th anniversary today, but I was told it would be back on in a couple of days. Apparently they will (and have been) doing growlers of it.

Since it was gone, I got a Space Ghost (LTD), made using a base malt grown and malted within 2 miles of Equinox... Not quite the Space Ghost we know and love, but highly lovable and a touch sweeter :grinning::grinning::grinning::grinning::grinning:

Made it over to Declaration on Friday and was happy with several of their hoppy beers. Session Mosaic and King Nalu Calypso were great. I've always enjoyed Electric Silk, too.

Not sure if this was mentioned but the new head brewer at Joyride is Chris Marchio who was the guy behind Fiction's Cosmic Unity.

Now this was mentioned earlier but I'll second the notion. The Director, his new beer and first with Joyride is fantastic! I can't wait to see what else he comes up with over there.

Just worked my way through most of this thread. A lot of good IPAs from CO thrown around, but from what I see online and on beermenus, most don't seem easy to find or aren't currently available.

So my question is: as a guy rolling in for a bachelor party this weekend, what are my best options for some good local IPAs that can be found at most decent beer stores?

Much like discussion in this thread, looking for citrus/tropical forward hops. Prefer singles and sessions to huge doubles since I'll be drinking all day and night presumably.

Any recos for some solid IPAs I can actually find would be greatly appreciated. And any advice for a good store between DIA and Evergreen would be a huge help. Cheers.
