In semi-related Colorado IPA news, I was just reading this month-old article in the Burlington Free Press about VT breweries seeking to protect the "Vermont" brand that arose from a spat between Fieldwork Brewery in CA and Hill Farmstead, and saw that the author mentions New Image's East Coast Transplant as an example of a non-VT beer that is advertised as "Vermont-style" and "Vermont DIPA." It's at the very end. I thought it was interesting, but you may have to answer a one-question survey to read it.

I am having the latest batch of Superfan to hit shelves and it is really really good. I feel like it has taken a step forward this year. Im really impressed at how they have refined it.

Thanks. We've invested in additional equipment that should help with QC (rolec DH90, Anton Paar) and the latest crop year of citra has been bonkers.

I was intrigued by the NE/Vermont Ipa thing when I used to visit Philly(Tired Hands) and we started making them here but I gotta admit, now it's like listening to Sabbath on like 3. I get things I like and I can kinda nod my head but turn that shit up!. Hints of greatness are there but I guess I need the bitterness to turn that shit up to 11! Can you do the late additions with early additions?

Pretty sure that's Melvin's M.O. No way they get that bitterness with only late additions, and those flavors and aromas aren't coming from a sixty minute addition.

I tried the station 26 mandarina Bavaria last night for the first time. It is pretty interesting and totally different than what I was expecting. It almost has a habanero flavor without the spice. It's a nice beer and an interesting change of pace, plus it has the signature hop forward low malt character of a station 26 single hop IPA.

Having a Kaptain kapowder now. It's pretty damn tasty. I like the odd 13 version better. Oddly I get a Brett smell and taste with the upslope version? Upslope version definitely has a bigger nose on it. But overall like the odd.

These two beers utilized different yeast, right? I wonder if the esters in the odd13 beer cover the nose a bit more.

Chalk it up to processing differences with the hops. A surprising difference at that.

Another solid, hazy, juicy IPA release today from Odd 13. I mean I don't think it stacks up to DDH Superfan, Superduperfan, or Holidayfan, but I did still come home with two 6-packs. If @rscot231 is reading this, the only complaint I have is that the music from the DJ in there today was too damn loud haha. Maybe I'm too old??

I see all. We've done a DJ for the last several releases but DJ was on the patio. DJ this time was planned before snow. Keeping that plan may have been (ok it was) a mistake.

Upslope Citra Pale Ale is pretty tasty. Aroma is non existent, but the flavor is on point.

Top secret. But thanks for the props. We hop in various ways but mainly nail the end of the brew.

Merely speculation, clearly there is some sort of hop magic that's involved as well.
