So i found some cans of Hazeus from 4noses, and it has kind of cleared/settled. The beer is phenomenal right now. I'm not a NEIPA hater, but it still had all of that big juicy in your face flavor while bringing that clean dry/crispness I love from a more traditional west coast IPA.

Comrade has a couple new IPA's on right now. They have a single hop Simcoe and an all-CO Cascade IPA. They have an all-CO amber, too. I went with the amber and was really happy with it. The simcoe was also really nice and that's a hop that go awry into cat pee territory if it isn't used well. This one tasted a bit like the Pliny beers to me.

I don't think it was never all that cloudy, it felt like the perfect mix of NE and West-Coast to me.

I understand why you won't can or bottle, but I recently heard about a fantastic opportunity to expand. Open a second brewery in town, preferably near my house. Okay, thanks.

Interesting to note that the cat urine aroma is considered a positive trait when derived from hops, and negative when it is result from ageing or from a taint from chemical components reacting with yeast metabolites. I realize it can be a turn off for some and a turn on for others at a pheromonal level. To each their own.

I find it in some IPAs that also have dank/weed qualities, such as some of the ABQ IPAs from La Cumbre and Il Vicino (Canteen, it will always be IV to me) and some SD IPAs including Pizza Port's Middle Man IPA and Poor Man's IIPA and some of Societe's IPA offerings . I've noticed some really strong strains of marijuana can also smell like cat and now see there is actually a strain named "Cat Piss".

    A cheeser's jam.

I find it to be one of the worst flavor profiles IPA's can occasionally have. To me it's like ammonia and a swamp rolled into one. Definitely not my thing. Onions are another flavor I can't handle in my IPA's. I guess a lot of people get mango, while I get scallions or oniongrass. It felt like there were a bunch of them with that flavor a few years ago, but most of them have disappeared. Even the worst offender (Summit hops and OB's Gubna) doesn't really have that note these days. To me some of the few beers that still have that note are the hazy IPA's that aren't using mostly citra. Something about those yeast strains and hop timings remind me of old German dudes harvesting wild scallions in the woods...which is a real thing I've seen.

I opened a N00b last night and first thing I got was a huge whiff of plastic. Then the sip was way over carbed which drowned out most of the flavor.

First, I already LOVE N00b so no worries about losing a repeat buyer here. Just thought you would like to know.

Second, that was my first and only from the 6'er (canned 4/28) so far. Will report back if it was a lone ranger or if it has friends.

I had a wild yeast bottle infection in a home brew that this reminds me of. Got over carbed real bad and created a chemical off flavor but no sourness. Either that or it's over carbed but the strong plastic is throwing me off.

Yep got the same thing in my second go. Not as strong on the plastic but still there.

Rarely see City Star mentioned in this forum, but their All-American IPA
    is the ( o )( o )'s

Pleasantly west-coast-y, but not too bitter... nice aroma from a thorough Citra dry-hopping.
Overall, a great little brewery that has recently expanded their seating area and look to be adding a patio as well. Go check them out!

Every once in a while you'll see kegs around the northern Front Range, but I don't think they package anything other than various bombers of smaller batch stuff.

Sorry, I was offline for a few days. Damn, I'm sorry that happened and thanks for the info. We're happy to replace the remaining beers if you bring them by the taproom. Please DM me what you find with the other cans.

Just had Hallertau Blanc DDH Superfan yesterday at the taproom and holy balls was that good. Also, had Hop Hop Troll Troll which was also great. That DDH though...

I may have mentioned Outer Range in this thread before (or in another thread...can't remember), but they have a NE-style IPA on right now called Blocks of Light that is easily in my top two or three in the state. There are only one or two NE-style IPAs that I have liked (Juicy Bits and Robot Librarian were my two favorites...until this one).

Blocks of Light is definitely a NE-style beer, but it is not a pure juice bomb; it has a little earthy bite to it that I really enjoyed. If you have the means, I highly recommend picking it up.

It's a regular IPA and it's fantastic, is it triple hopped?
