Spotted Cow is a favorite for sure, but I actually prefer El Toro from Fullsteam in Durham, NC...made with North Carolina corn grits. Good stuff.

Sixpoint Sweet Action, very easy to get here in the NYC area and very creamy.

As others have said, Little Kings. So tiny, they didn't have time to get lightstruck, or warm. Ain't seen 'em in a while. Genny is pretty dang good.

Sweet Action isn't a real Cream Ale though. According to Sixpoint it's "Part pale ale, part wheat, part cream ale."

I didn't realize there are other cream ales besides Genesee

I refuse to believe they exist. Really though, at $3.99 for a 6-pack of pounders, Genny Cream is hard to beat. I've yet to have any other beer masquerading as a cream ale be worthy of the craft beer price tag that it comes with.

Spotted Cow is always a solid option. I also used to like drinking Sleeman's Cream Ale, ideally right out of the can while fishing. Okay, it was mostly just drinking, but there was a tackle box and pole in the vicinity.

I enjoy Genny Cream Ale, not sure why it tastes better out of the retro stubby bottles but it does.

Stubbies, like church key opened cans, definitely enhance the taste. Scientifically proven, no. But those that do it, know it.

Crossroads Brewing's Brady's Bay Cream Ale is the best I've had. Draft only so far, but I'd say it's worth trading for a growler of it.

Lots of cream ales with too much sweetness out there. Kiwanda Cream Ale from Pelican absolutely nails the well-attenuated/delicate hopping combo. It's not just a great cream ale; it's a pretty damned fine beer, period.

http://www.littlekingsbeer.com/main.html They list a bunch of PA distributors (of course, they list 2 NJ ones as well- and the one retailer I ever saw it at had old stock).

I have to take a ride to the Adirondack Brew Pub. I hear they have an Imperial Cream Ale that is killer!
