If you have access to it, you should try this stuff too:

It's not my normal first choice but I've always felt Swamp Head's Wild Night is a solid Cream Ale. It's a great beer to introduce to people that are just getting into craft brews as well.

It just came out around a month ago. The distribution might not be so broad, as it's also a fairly new company, so I can only confirm that it's available in the greater Boston area. The website (www.slumbrew.com) says that Slumbrews also make it out to Western Mass, in such places as Great Barrington, West Springfield, etc.

Absolutely, and like a previous poster mentioned Taps Brewery makes a nice one as well.

Here's one that isn't classified as a Cream Ale here on BA, but some believe that it could be:

(It won a Gold in the category at U.S. Open Beer Championship a year or so back)

If you enjoy a surprise it's worth checking out past GABF Medal-winners in the style ; )

Ah, yes, the notorious "Category: 33 American-Style Specialty Lager or Cream Ale or Lager". Of all the goofy categories, that's still my favorite one, I think.

"Geez, we need another medal to give out to the macro breweries who pay the big bucks in dues to the B.A because American Lager, American Light Lager, American Premium Lager, American Specialty Lager and American Malt Liquor* just ain't covering it...."

Just tried Slimbrew's My Better Half Imperial Cream Ale. It was pretty good. Check it out if you can.

Does El MurciƩlago count? A very non traditional take on the style, for sure.

The best I've ever had was Sun King's Coffee and Cream, their cream ale infused with local coffee beans. The best regularly available is Sixpoint's Sweet Action. I would love to try the Pelican Cream Ale.
