TRVE. I like the beer and the first time I went there they were blasting a High on Fire album, which they played from start to finish.
Really tough call. If we're talking Denver proper it's a toss-up between Great Divide, Crooked Stave, and Comrade. I favor consistency and having the best possible good vs. bad beer ratio. If the 'burbs count, Dry Dock and the Bull & Bush would also be up there.
I'd like Crooked Stave more if a) prices were lower b) it wasn't in a cage Great Divide is top notch, can't wait for their new place Comrade is up there, too HogsHead There are several on the next rung.
My favorite across the board is probably Hogshead. Downtown I'd have to say Epic. I haven't been over to Comrade yet.
I actually spaced Hogshead for some reason. They're definitely elite and they might even be my overall favorite. The only catch for me is that it's not that convenient to where I live. If I were closer, I'd probably be their version of Norm from Cheers.
oooooohhhhh Station 26 is solid! That double IPA they had was fantastic, going there tonight to get a growler of their Juicy Banger!
I just ran by and grabbed a growler of Juicy Banger. Can't go wrong for $14. Kicking myself for not bringing a 2nd empty growler to get one of Double IPA also. Couldn't bring myself to pay for the glass with the amount of empty ones I have at home
Agreed, and I'd add Great Divide, like others have said for consistency and multitude of styles. These are my top 4. I love Hogshead, but feel they're very limited in styles and tap room space.
