Olde School is my staple for the season.

    Poppaskull is still my favorite.

Supposedly they "sold out". Total BS. They make great brews and have been successful because of it. I love DFH and always will.

Raison d'etre has always been my favorite from their regular line-up. I have some Palo Santo in the fridge right now that I'm ready to try.

I haven't had too many of their beers (none of the xx min. IPAs), but Burton Baton blew me away. Next time I see it on a shelf I'm buying at least 4.

I guess my reasoning is that they push crazy boundaries that sometime work great and other times do not and people on here tend to focus on the latter

Sadly many DFH offerings don't make it out to California. But of the few I've tried, Palo Santo (really an amazing beer) is definitely my favorite. Aprihop is second. I wasn't really impressed with the others I have tried.

I have only tried the 60 minute so far, and hated it. BUT. I have a lot of respect for DFH as a brewery, because even though they have been successful, they have also stayed true to their roots and to the spirit of their brewery. I feel that their experimentation is a good thing; no one ever made any progress without trying.

My problem is I just don't find their beers to be that good. The last few I tasted had little advertized flavor and were sweet and boozy.

Festina Peche before they dumb-downed the recipe.

I personally love 120. I think it is a tremendous beverage that is rather unappreciated IMO.

    Indian Brown Ale

After that it's either booze, table sugar or just plain messy.

I haven't had this in 2 years or longer. the only bottling was in '07 right? I'm fairly certainly there's a shop here in town that still has some of the '07's on the shelf......hmmm

Totally agree here, super tart and delicious. Still pretty good but nowhere near what it was.

My vote goes hands down to Immort Ale.
I absolutely love the peat, tastes like a scotch soda with some maple syrup. Very good.

I really liked Squall. Of their seasonals, Festina is fastly becoming the one I look forward to the most. I really like DFH's small bottle limited and seasonal line. The biggies are so steep in price in MA that I usually only buy the ones I like every so often. I'll always have a soft spot for 60 and 90 though. They were big reasons why I started really getting into craft brew, but don't get them much anymore.

They have lots of great stuff. Palo Santo stands out and 90 Min on tap was mind blowing.

Just cracked my first Aprihop for the year and after smelling it right away, I instantly got the scent of super primo weed.
I took a couple more healthy sniffs and yup it brought me back to those fun times in college
We use to get the most insane weed (I was great friends with a lot of major pot heads) I haven't smoked in probably a decade, so maybe my sniffer is off, but damn I got a whiff of something that brought me back!
Sadly, the smell has dissipated and now I'm just enjoying the drink:grinning:
