Ayinger Altbairisch Dunkel and Dogfish Indian Brown definitely in the fall rotation outside of a ton of marzens

Well, I just bought a few bottles of Saison DuPont. Maybe that is the reason for my answer.

Bell's Best Brown is a perennial favorite. Also in recent years I've been enjoying the Sierra Neveda Octoberfest collaboration series.

I didn't realize ST made an ESB, I'll have to look out for it. I don't consider ST generally when I see it on the shelf but I love a nice ESB. Montauk makes a good one too - actually I was surprised to find I like a lot of their line up.

I think a few here missed the OP asking for fall beer release favorites besides Oktoberfests.

A big fan of Founders Harvest and Backwoods Bastard. Also a shout out to Genesee Craft Series Salted Caramel Chocolate Porter and Great Lakes Lake Erie Monster.

Founders Backwoods Bastard for sure. OP said other than pumpkin, but Schlafly Pumpkin is my second favorite and most consumed due to large supply here in the greater STL area.

The one where I was talking about ST's ESB, a fall release? Then followed up with a slight tangent about another ESB? My point was that if I tried ST's fall release ESB I might be interested in some of the rest of the lineup. I think when people just comment - SN Oktoberfest etc. they did not read the question.

I will throw this one in as well:

    Aecht Schlenkerla Eiche

Some may consider these winter beers but I like them on a coldish fall evening out on the deck listening to whatever sounds are coming out of the woods behind the house.

I love their whole lineup, but just so you know, the Eiche is a Winter seasonal and any that you see on the shelves now may be getting a bit long in the tooth.

I hear you. The funny thing is I have never had a fresh one.

I actually just became familiarized with this beer about two, maybe three years ago. Maybe I'll keep an eye out this winter and see if I can find a fresh(ish) one and see if I can notice the difference.

Personally I love brown ales during the fall. My hometown brewery makes one called Bella Brown I enjoy very much.

Great Lakes Nosferatu. Was starting to get cravings for a good red ale anyway and then Nosferatu hits the shelves. Made it that much better. Also happy Saranac brought Black Forest back. Wish it was in six packs.

    Harvest/fresh/wet hop ales.

Like homemade pasta with fresh marinara and garden grown basil.
