My favorite is Punkin by far followed by Sam Adams Octoberfest.

    Is Punkin out yet?

Fall is my favorite beer season... I'm actually sipping on a Weyerbacher Imperial Pumpkin after brewing my home brewed pumpkin today... My favorite pumpkins are Williamsburg Alewerks, Weyerbacher, DFH, Elysian Night Owl, and Blue Moon (yes, that Blue Moon)... My favorite Oktoberfest is Hacker Pschoor... I just picked up a four pack of Terrapin Pumpkin fest which I'm excited to try (the best of both worlds supposedly)...

Oktoberfests of course. Real Ale Coffee Porter and 512 Pecan Porter are my favorites when I can find them. The 512 Pecan is year round I believe but I love to have it in Fall.

    Tumbler
    SA Octoberfest
    Smutty or DFH Pumpkins
    Wet hop ales
    FBS and Backwoods bastard

I find with spring and summer, I don't have many beers that I must buy every year. August rolls around though and a bunch of must buys hit the shelves and consumers much of my beer budget for the rest of the year.
Tumble is so perfect for a cool autumn evening that I'll buy it a few times. Follow that with Celebration a few months later and my liver really starts to hate Sierra. Sam Adams always gets me with bother their fall and winter mix packs as well and it's great to see their Octoberfest on tap a just about any bar or restaurant in the northeast.

Since moving to Cali, I find my love for fall beers the same, however due to this weather it's a little harder for me to get in the mood as early in the year.

Any and all Oktoberfest and pumpkin ales I can get my hands on...

Looking forward to drinking my yearly bottle of Darkness, and will stock up on a few four packs of Surlyfest and Wet. Also looking forward to trying the various Pumpkin beers around town.

I'm not generally a fan of pumpkin beers, but I just tried the (new?) one from Captain Lawrence and it was really quite good, so I may go for that again.

I really liked Sebago Local Harvest Ale last year, I'll see if I can find that again.

Someone already touched on this, but when summer is here, I can't think of a single must buy. When fall rolls around its a totally different story. What is better than a brisk day, leaves falling, chilling with a friend or two, enjoying a football game? How can't the fall to winter season NOT be the best beer drinking season?! As new to craft beer as I am, I love it. And can't wait to try some new fall brews.

SN Tumbler sticks out for me. So easy for me to find, even while living in a rural, old fashion area.

Really enjoyed the spice of DFH punkin ale last fall as well. Looking forward to the Pumking I just picked up, as I've seen a lot of mixed opinions.

My buddy that got me into craft beer loves Great Lakes. I picked up thier Oktoberfest, and wasn't that impressed. Just felt boring to me.

So long as I can find some Founders Harvest I'll be stoked. Love that wet hop action, whatever it is, and last year's batch was so good I had to wipe away a tear after every sip (metaphorically, at least).

I'll also enjoy some easier to find beers like Sierra Nevada's Northern Hemisphere Harvest and Tumbler (which seems to be getting more praise around here than I recall seeing last year), DFH Punkin, and the return of Mayflower's Autumn Wheat seasonal (which, in my experience, hardly anyone seems to like as much as I do).

And I've already started on the Oktoberfests by spontaneously grabbing a sixer of Paulaner Oktoberfest-Marzen yesterday.

    Fine times await us.

    Maybe my favorite beer season.

    Oktoberfest:
    Ayinger
    Hacker-Pschorr
Aecht Schlenkerla (technically a rauchbier but who cares, it's phenomenal)

    Fresh hop beers:
Fremont Cowiche Canyon Fresh Hop (crazy good & almost completely under the BA radar)
    Deschutes Hop Trip
    Deschutes Fresh Hop Mirror Pond
Deschutes Chasin' Freshies Fresh Hop (new this year)
    SN Northern Hemisphere Wet Hop
    SN Estate Homegrown Wet Hop
    etc.

even though it's readily available all year... sort of... i'd say crannog back hand of god stout, and later on into the colder months it's singularity by driftwood.

Schlafly was my favorite fall pumpkin beer but since I don't travel to St. Louis anymore and they don't distribute to Chicago, I've switched to Pumking and actually like it more. DFH Punkin is number two on my list of pumkin beers, which are my favorite fall style.

Hofbrau Ocktoberfest is by far my favorite example of that style. I also enjoy Capital Brewery's O-fest and can pretty much have any of that style and enjoy it. A bad Oktoberfest is not nearly as hard for me to drink as a bad pumpkin beer (I'm looking at you- Shipyard Pumpkinhead).
