What is your favorite gift set that you have either received or bought yourself, and why?

    My favorite:

My dad bought me this back in December for my 24th birthday. He wrote me a pretty awesome note and left it on it. I was about to begin a student teaching internship in January, and I was beyond nervous about it. The note said that he and my mom were proud of me, and that I was going to make an awesome teacher. It was awesome waking up to that.

The Duvel set is awesome, because the glass is amazing and the beer ain't bad either...especially at 14.99!!!!

Cost Market (World Market) always has them around Christmas time. If you can't grab one BM me and I'll ship one to yah as long as you cover the shipping.

I really want the one from Jolly pumpkin and Maui brewing.

Not so much for the beer but for the glass itself. I would kill for that glass.

It just SAT at my shop so I bought 4 of the 6 we had. Its my favorite glass and one of the easiest beers/tastiest beers I've drank, so I didn't mind getting those. We didn't have the regular 4pks.

They are available through JP's web store. $8 a piece.

The only one I have purchased was the Chimay one (red, blue, white + goblet). The Captain Lawrence SFTO and the new one is badass as all hell though (ISO!!)

duvel gift set is essential (world class beer, best glass), but yeah, smoke from the oak gift set was going to be my vote. still kind of regret not buying two, since rum barrel aged imperial smoke from the oak was an easy top 10 beer for me.

There are two St. Bernardus chalices floating around--one is silver rimmed with higher sides. I think that was included in older gift packs. The chalice in your picture has a bit more curvature and no silver on the mouth. This chalice seems to be included in newer ones. If anyone has more accurate information, feel free to correct me.

I bought an Ommegang gift set a couple years ago that had Chocolate Indulgence, Hennepin, Abbey, & a branded flute flute for $20. You couldn't even buy the 3 beers for $20 let alone with a glass. My only regret is that I didn't get a couple more sets!

The Ommegang holiday gift set from last year was awesome too. Two of my favorites, Hennepin and Gnommegang, plus a solid Three Philosophers (all 750s) and a sweet gold rimmed tulip glass

The only gift set I ever bought was the St. Bernardus one, so I'd have to vote for that. Sunday I passed up on the Chimay one because it was $19.99 and to me it didn't seem worth it...but now I am rethinking it.

my friend bought this, and i thought it was well worth the price. the glass is awesome. also it's really sturdy. he had it on a high shelf in his room, and one of his cats knocked it to the ground. it was like a ten foot fall onto a hardwood floor and it was fine. and the beer is pretty good too. haha

They had a ton of the sets, that's the only reason I didn't pull the trigger. I did like the glass and Chimay's classic.....guess I'll go grab one.
