Just have this Erdinger Bavaria gift pack.

I bought two of them about 2 years ago but lost one of the glasses on a trip. Fortunately my fiance just bought me two Weihenstephaner wheat beer gift packs as a surprise for after we move in September. I've wanted a Weihenstephaner weizen glass for ages so now I'll have two of them.

I look forward to hopefully getting a few more gift packs at the LCBO either for my birthday in October or afterwards. Any good reccomendations?

I might pick up the Duvel gift set soon. I've never had the beer before either!

I buy the shit out of Chimay or Duvel gift packs whenever I see them on sale, which usually isn't too hard to find after Christmas. You can often get the gift pack cheaper than a standard 4-pack would cost, plus you get the very nice glass for free.

Last Christmas, Costco had Chimay sets for $13.

Great time of year to bring this back. I just got a corsendonk Christmas gift set. It is a six pack with a Corsendonk Christmas glass. Got it for $20, which I think is a good deal just for the beer! It seems like the Belgiums do a nice job with the gift set....would like to see more US breweries doing a set with a glass.

I suppose to be a gift set it has to have a glass, but St. B's also has a 6-bottle box (no glass) that includes the Wit and Watou Tripel as well as those four. I've been eyeing that one up lately, quite the variety pack.

I love the Weistephaner gift set although I have not seen it yet this year. Bought this for a bro a few years back and the glass that it came with is still one of his favorites

Any idea why 2010 wasn't included?

This one is also my favorite. I've bought this one as well as the St. Bernardus one, the Chimay one, and the Samuel Smiths one, and you can't go wrong with any of those. I'm also currently looking at the Innis and Gunn one right now, that one looks pretty sweet as well.

There was nice La Trappe gift set out last year. Two bottles of Quad, two bottles of Isid'or, and a very nice chalice for $18.

I too picked up the three Chimays and the goblet for $19. Great deal.

I saw Ommegang tweet a pic today of their new gift set that will include three beers---including the Choc Indulgence--- and a glass.

Locally, Marble Brewery sells gift sets that pair their Reserve and Imperial Stout with chocolate from local chocolatier, Chocolate Cartel.

Worthy gift for someone who likes slightly above average beer or too much if a stretch?

not a bad idea, most people i know who like slightly above average beer mention ommegang as a favorite. could spark a fire -cool glass, good beers- gets them into a bev center, asks the guy for a good beer similar to ommegang to put into their fancy new glass, and boom, a slightly above average beer liker could turn into a great beer lover.
