This is the beer that brought to my attention the term Grisette. Tatsy one too. But didn't see it much this year.

Let me address your comments in this manner. BTW, I do appreciate them, as they appear to be an effort to bridge a gap between the two of us.

I agree with some things that Jack says. Actually, that's not fair. I agree with MOST things that Jack says. However, there are some issues on which we don't agree. In those cases, and for the sake of open discourse, he should attempt to understand the other side of the argument before assuming that he is correct, just because it is he that has the opinion and he holds himself out as a self-appointed expert. That leads to a discussion in which people can learn from each other instead of one were people simply attempt to be right for the sake of being right.

I usually am a gap creator lol, so this is new territory. Hopefully you two folks who have much to share with the rest of us can move ahead.

I also can't help but add that if beer styles were condensed to the fourteen styles of beer I have been advocating for most of the many years I have been a BA, there would be no argument to have on the subject of grisette, as there would be no style called grisette.

A few days ago, on a whim (without knowing what the "bleep" it even was), I bought a 4 pack of Drekker Heavy Glow Dry Hopped Grisette. I haven't tried it yet, though.

After reading / scanning through this thread, I do kinda do the eye roll over a "dry hopped grisette"!:grin:

Had one from Monocacy Brewing in Frederick MD just the other day as part of their small batch "Blank Slate" series of on-site kegs. Seemed to be quite "traditional" for a saison with a very dry finish and light ABV as it was intended. Very well crafted.
