I was hoping someone was going to mention that one. While it's technically not a Christmas beer, it releases this time of year, so I'll go with Tyraneena Sheep Shagger Scotch Ale.

Mad Elf by Troegs is my definite favorite this time of year!

I'm not a big fan of the spiced beers, though it's nice to have by a fire on occasion.

Wouldn't have thought to count Xocoveza, but certainly works for me!
Samichlaus is a great one. Used to really look forward to it, but I find it gets a bit syrupy with age
Bell's Expedition, because I make my parents bring it for me since Bell's isn't in NJ yet. Just need to drink the previous years, as it improves tremendously with age.

Wow, thanks for all the great suggestions! My friends went home happy. The hop heads loved the SN Celebration Ale, and Tröeggs Mad Elf was popular. Same for Southern Tier 2XChristmas. My favorite was the St. Bernardus Christmas. We had the Samichlaus, but it was a bit of a bear. Couldn't find the Hardywood Gingerbread Stout, but it looks great! Cheers!

I always equate Christmas with the big brews that come out around here and my favorites are The Abyss, BCBS, BA Narwhal and BA Ivan the Terrible

in 2013, I found a bottle from 2010 on the shelf and scooped it up. shared it with some family at Christmas and it was delicious. im biased though, I also love reg. Gulden Draak.
