Harpoon IPA for me. Not a huge fan of the style to begin with, but if the only IPAs i could drink for the rest of my life were this, and brooklyn blast for a dipa, i'd be alright with that.

This is a very good question, the only IPAs that I have drank that were under 6% were castaway ipa, ponto, go to, and easy jack. It is really hard to find an under 6% ipa nowadays. This question really opened my eyes.

I personally thought Go To was one of the worst beers I have ever tried. You couldn't pay me to drink that again. All Day is fairly decent. Daytime from Lagunitas is better. Pinner from Oskar Blues is the best session IPA I have had yet.

The only actual IPA <6% I rated well was Goose Island IPA (back in '09--stopped buying it since, well you know).

    My under 6s:

    Union Duckpin (APA)
    Half Acre Daisy Cutter (APA)
    Citra Mantra (pale lager)

    Forgot about Thornbridge Jaipur

It's beers like these that lay waste to the myth that hoppy beers don't do well on cask

You would have had a tough time in India back in the day then. IPAs weren't strong beers, the strongest on record seems to have been around 7% and most were around 5.5%.
All IPAs are by definition Pale Ales. There is no official boundary.Lots of IPAs (eg Bass) were never called anything except Pale Ale.
