    Fellow BAers,

The time for this year's iteration of Kane's A Night to End All Dawns is approaching (May?). Since last year I have heard all my friends love a different on of the variants most. Aside from the fact that the vanilla variant sold out first, which was your favorite? Mine was cacao, then vanilla, then coffee, and finally the regular. But all were AMAZING.

I thought it would be a cool poll to get everyone excited for this year's batch.

    Cheers!

I was unfortunately in the first group to get shutout of Vanilla, so I can't speak for that. Of the Regular, Cacao and Coffee, the Cacao was easily the best imo.

I was lucky to try the vanilla thanks to a friend who opened one. I missed out on it as well.

I missed out on the vanilla but i can't imagine it being better than cacao which was dessert in a glass.

Hopefully this year's release is better executed because last year was a bit of a mess.

A friend asked at kane when ANTEAD would be released this year and they said not until the Fall. In the meantime, where is that morning bell already??

This morning bell rumor and rumblin' just needs to culminate now haha.

I thought vanilla was mostly hype, cacao I thought took the 1st prize by far

Has Kane done any normal bottle releases lately? I remember them doing Fall Saints and Malus a few months back, but i haven't seen anything recently.

A couple months ago a friend was talking to Mike Kane, and he said they were months behind in production. So a fall ANTEAD release could be possible. He said after his visit to Kane, he expected a Sept release time frame.

This is good info, thx. I'm looking forward to a better release this year.

It's funny how everyone seeks the vanilla first but over 20 votes in, it's in last place for taste. Can't wait to see more votes come in and see if the results change.

Another instance where hype trumps taste. I wonder how many ppl regret trading for vanilla antead for whatever they ISOed

Maybe cause the only people that can vote for vanilla were in the 1st 75-100 ppl in line or those that traded their soul for one. I never had the chance to try the vanilla but I was very happy with the cocoa, I didn't like the coffee as much and I loved the base.

I won't vote because I only had regular and coffee. Out of the two I had, I think I liked the base beer better. However, everyone I talked to who had them all voted cocoa as the far and away favorite.

I went Cacao, Vanilla, Coffee, Regular...in that order

Also, I spent a good deal of time chatting with Mike (Kane) at Huna Day at he said he believed late May/early June was when he expected ANTEAD to be available this year. No other details (for the fools who thought I would actually ask him about limits or variants in a Florida parking lot) :-)

Lol great news. Did Kane (and even Carton) see a good turnout at Huna day? I bet people were going after Regular Coffee and ANTEAD

They definitely had their fans, lots of folks made the trip from NJ/NY/PA and had spread the word for sure. I must have told every person I met to go drink Sunday Brunch, which sure enough was the first to kick. Got lots of "thanks for the recommendation, man!" for that one. Augie yelled at me for standing in the Kane line hahaha

From their FB page: 60 freshly emptied Rye and Bourbon barrels showed up today straight from a distillery in Kentucky.

Pretty sure that has nothing to do with ANTEAD though. They've been in barrels since last June at minimum already.

They're even labeled at the brewery. Or at least were when I was there last.
