Just curious: What's your favorite style that you just don't see too many breweries doing? For me, I have to go schwarzbier or English bitter/English mild. While these are certainly classic styles in their own contexts, you don't see a huge number of American breweries doing them on a consistent basis, which I think is a shame.

I agree with your suggestions. It seems to me that Schwarzbier is a bit more available; I like Shiner Bohemian Black Lager. Obtaining a 'good' packaged English Bitter/Mild can be challenging. I am fortunate that a nearbt brewery of Yards makes very good Bitter Ales (Yards ESA) and Mild Ales (Yards Brawler). I do find high quality English Ales from time to time at local brewpubs.

    Cheers!

I wish that more breweries (brewpubs I suppose?) would make the Grodziskie/Gratzer beer style. I have only had commercial versions of these beers a handful of times.

    Cheers!

English Mild for me. I've had a small handful over the last few months and the style makes for a great session beer. For those of us that don't have time for subtle styles, it probably makes little to no impression. I can understand that, because I like big, bold beers as much as the next guy/gal. I just prefer the taste profile in a Mild to most (not all) lighter lagers that are available.

There will never be enough Weizenbock in this world.

    Never.

Although I admit there are also a lot of not-so-good Weizenbocks around. But the good examples are absolutely stellar.

I'd like to see more strong hoppy brown/amber ales on draught. Also more old ales/edinburgh ales etc on draught too. You can order pretty much everything in bottles and/or cans online now, that you would want in a bottle/can

I need good, locally brewed Roggenbier and Dunkelweizens. Plenty of local breweries make great German style beer, and yet... :slight_frown:

True German-style Helles or Dortmunder. Basically slightly 'stronger' versions of your standard pale lager. Incredibly flavorful and pleasurable to drink when done correctly.

I always crave English Bitters, especially on cask. Unfortunately, they're not as prevalent as I'd like them to be, even though a few local breweries in the SEPA area do them (i.e. Iron Hill, Victory, Sly Fox).

Agree with a good ESB, Schwarzbier, and add Grisette,
    Thanks for the thread

Everything I came here to say has already been said, but we dig repetition: English Bitter, Dortmunder Lager.

STL has a very nice brewery (Civil Life) that specializes in low ABV English Style ales and I'm very grateful for that.

More and better lagers of all types, Dortmunders, Munich Helles and Dunkels, Pilsners. German Ales as well... Kolsch, Altbier. English Dark and Pale Milds.
In answering the OPs question of just one I would have to say Kolsch. And in cans.
