Pipeworks and Off Color due to high quality, but experimental/interesting beer.
Revolution due to ease of access.
Temperance due to their Gatecrasher IPA.

Living in northern Jersey, Im lucky to have access to some amazing breweries.

My favorite right now is SingleCut Beersmiths out of Astoria, Queens. Their Billy Full-Stack IIPA is amazing and pretty much my go-to DIPA. Their Bon-Bon 2x IIPA is also killer. Overall they are crushing it.

Out of NJ, I will have to go with Carton due to their availability and variety. I love that they really try all sorts of ingredients and styles.

I was in NC recently. The Olde Hickory Event Horizon was top notch!

I'd say I'm lucky because fatheads is less than a hour drive away, GLBC the same, and columbus brewery is about two hours. And I can get product from local shops within a week or so of bottling. Bought a 4-pack of headhunter that was bottled a week before I purchased it. Pretty damn fresh!

Union Craft Brewing gets the nod for me but Burley Oak is a close second. Union in my opinion makes the best beer in Maryland with their Double Duckpin DIPA.

Is Abandon relatively new? I've never been but visit that area once or twice a year for the wine. I'll have to stop by the next time I hit Dr. Frank's!

As for the favorite local to me...for proximity, Griffin Claw. Mixed bag of great BA stouts and not-so-pleasant ones. And Norm's Raggedy Ass IIPA is pretty good and I usually have some in the fridge. Growler prices, and really prices in general, knock it down a peg.

If I'm willing to drive a bit, the quality increases quite a bit for Kuhnhenn's in Warren. DRIPA is fantastic!

born and raised in Erie. Have a friend here in Fort Collins who visited Erie a few weeks ago and brought back the Big Black Voodoo Daddy. This is easily one of the best imperial stouts I have ever tasted!

and it made me wonder- How are the rest of their offerings???!?
