    Marshall
    Coop Ale Works
And Choc is like a better version of Spoetzl

Ehh Marshall and Coop are good, but we get most of what Prairie puts out here already. I'd vote for Louisiana myself. They have Terrapin, The Bruery, Evil Twin, and a shit ton of Shelton Brothers stuff that we don't get in TX.

Wisconsin. New Glarus, Lakefront, and Central Waters. I thought about Indiana for Three Floyds, but its really the only one from there and its such a crapshoot to get their beer.

I live in Washington, which hosts some pretty kick ass brewers themselves and borders Oregon. 'Nuff said.

I have never seen The Bruery in LA, though it has been about a year since I was last in New Orleans. I was basically going by breweries from the state, not distribution. NOLA is a nice little brewery, but nothing else made in LA compares to Prairie.

Yeah I was just there last week, perhaps that just happened recently. And yeah understandable, OK breweries are definitely better overall. I had some Parish Brewing stuff that impressed me but they were hit-or-miss.

I consider all those to be mediocre breweries. Newburgh seems to be the best of that bunch. I left out a bunch of PA too...just went with the highlights of each state.

My state only touches 2 others. Idaho has the fantastic Selkirk Abbey. Oregon has the city of Bend.

Gotta go with Iowa for Toppling Goliath. That's all they got, but it's more than enough.

I agree with my fellow Minnesotans on Wisconsin. But living ten miles north of the Iowa border I'm happy that Toppling Goliath and Worth are fairly close by.

Living in DC, I have lots of "next door beer states." Besides the District itself, which is awesome in terms of distribution, I have Virginia, and Maryland, which are only a handful of miles from each other. Additionally, in one direction, Pennsylvania is less than and hour and North Carolina is around 2-3 in the other.

None of those breweries are from that state (LA), I think that's what the point of the post was. If not, I apologize

Roughtail, especially the hoppy stuff when fairly fresh, may change your mind. A couple of promising breweries just launched here ( Willows Family & can't spell the others ) with a couple more rebooting ( Moore Tornado I believe ) within the last month. Look out!

in florida... georgia is the only connected state with anything worth while, imo... but too much good stuff local. if special releases distribute to FL, i'll pay attention, but I'd take a local beer any day.

While not "neighborly" in the the sense that we don't border it is a considerably short drive through NH from MA to Portland, Maine. That gets my vote.
