I think the spirit of the thread is BA stouts without flavorings, even if this isn't technically the definition of "adjuncts" it's the definition that has been popularized and understood for the past few years at least imo.

Best you can get relatively easily:
BCBS (By far, this is a banger every year, and better than most hyped stouts)
    Black Note Stout
    BA Dark Apparition

Top 5 all time for me:
    SR-71 b1
    BBT b2
    Red (4 Roses) Black Magick
    Silver (Willet) Black Magick
    Maman '18

Surly Darkness is my all time favorite, but Old Rasputin is the RIS I drink most often.

You're getting a lot of great recommendations here. I second a lot of them.
Most of my trading has been Fremont BA Stouts for others BA stouts, and I gotta say the vast majority fall way short. Bell's BA stouts come to mind (Black Note being the best I've had of those).

In particular I recommend and second the following:

    Olde Hickory - Event Horizon
Fremont - BA Dark Star and BBomb and variants
Jackie O's - BA Stouts Including Dark Apparition and Champion Ground
3 Floyds - Dark Lord (not even BA)
Cigar City - Marshal Zhukov and varients
    Firestone Walker - Parabola
Oskar Blues - BA Ten Fidy

Tried Central Waters’ Twenty One recently. It’s a great beer and a nice change of pace from all the (coveted) pastry/flavored stouts.

I saw on Facebook that Arcadia is releasing their Imperial Stout in cans. I have not seen it in distro for a while now, although it may have been available in their taproom at times. It has always been one of my favorites, and may be the first imperial stout that I ever experienced, so some fond memories exist for it. However, some of their beers have changed in taste a bit since they opened at their new brewery, so I'm going to be curious to see if I still like this one.

With the popularity of using flaked oats and other adjunct grains in stouts, wouldn't a lot of the listed stouts be Adjunct BA Stouts with no flavorings added?

When people say adjunct stouts they aren’t referring to brewing adjuncts but flavor adjuncts.

You will get no argument from me on that point; however many on this forum would love to endlessly, pedantically argue that the term adjunct pertains only to fermentables. Personally, I couldn't give a rats ass.

This is a thread near and dear to my heart. Like many of you, I have done my best to try as many of these great BA imperial stout as I can. All of them are great beers.

Some of my other favorites that I've had that I didn't see in this thread yet include

    Ellison Gravity
    Founder's BBA Imperial Stout
Griffin Claw Flying Buffalo BA Imperial Stout - I put this one in my top three for the style

No one has mentioned Dark Horse's BBA Plead the 5th. That one is in my top three along with Bell's Black Note Stout and their BBA Expedition Stout. I don't know where BBA Plead the 5th is for 2018 or actuallt this year since it was promised in April after it was a no-show at 4 Elves Day. Anybody seen it?

In our area, Carton’s Unjunct fits the bill perfectly. Other favorites of mine are Bell’s Expedition and Modern Times’ Black House.
