I'll admit I'm not the biggest stout fan ever, but some ones I like would include:

    Coopers Best Extra Stout
    Guinness Foreign Extra
    Sierra Nevada Stout

Funny thing is, my favourite stout is an "imperial", Thornbridge Saint Petersburg, but it's weaker than Guinness FES.

My first stop when we visit family in Missiouri and Kansas is to get Buffalo Sweat. Fantastic stout.

Sierra Nevada Stout has only been mentioned once, but I suppose that's typical for a beer that seems to begin many "overlooked" threads. Nice and roasty, and readily available.

Bell's Kalamazoo Stout. To me it is an all weather stout, light enough for warm summer days yet dark enough for cold winter evenings. Basically, great any time.

Mine would be which ever was available, between Lion Stout, and Left Hand Milk Stout, Nitro or not.

Sam Smith's Oatmeal Stout is probably my favorite, although I do love Lazy Magnolia's Jefferson Stout when I can get it.

Ooh, I almost forgot about Ballast Point Indra Kunindra. Just barely non-imperial at 7%, by put a delicious spiced export stout. Especially if you like Indian and/or Middle Eastern food.
