I'm going to go with BCBCS. By far my favorite beer from a foreign-owned company.

Oh geez, where to begin? Well, I'm going for the easy answer and say that you have to try any of the Trappist Ales, you really can't go wrong with any of those. I'd also try anything from Samuel Smith, their chocolate stout is out of this world, so is there oatmeal stout.

Yeah well having a real answer to this question is counter to my beer drinking philosophy. "Non-North American" encompasses a world of beer from which no favorite should be selected.

Just off the top of my head, one of my favorite imports is Professor Fritz Briem 1809 Berliner Weisse... A great tart summer treat. Haven't seen it lately, but hopefully it pops up soon.

Trappistes Rochefort 10 is another beer that can't disappoint.

I recently had a bottle of Cantillon Kriek at Max's in Baltimore. That one might take it.

Two Captains from Nogne O, my understanding is that its a limited released, but it was pretty darn good.

Regular release: Orval, can't beat that.

    Cheers!

Well, it's hard to put my finger on just one that is my favorite. But I'd say the ones that I go back to the most are Chimay (Red, Blue, and Yellow), Rochefort (6,8, and 10), and the oldest of all Trappist breweries Stift Engelszell (try the Gregorious). Orval, Westmalle, Westvleteren, La Trappe, and Achel are also very good. I'd explore with any of those.

Dunno about favorite but a couple of years ago when i went to argentina I was talking to some locals at a parilla restaurant about the amazing wine and food in buenos aires, etc.. anyways we got to talking about beer and they said they wished they had all the great beers there that we do in the U.S.
I told them how I bought a six pack of Quilmes, the local (budweiser) of argentina and they asked why i buy such crap. i told them because it was from AR and I wanted to try it before I came. anyways I got laughed at, especially when I told them I paid over 8$ american for it.. lol
btw I went on the BA pub crawl that was ran by a guy from ann arbor and the second bar we visited had Bells two hearted in a bottle..
