    Nice--I had heard good things about Double Negative so I picked up a bottle...gonna have to move it to the front of the queue now!

    Yeah the Keg and Lantern bar in Greenpoint opened up a nano-brewerry in the basement. I still need to try their beers too.

    I've been meaning to get to Keg & Lantern too, it's like a 1/2 block away from Torst, and only maybe 2 blocks from Spritzenhaus

    Indeed - I think this is probably the best 1-2 punch for bars anywhere in Brooklyn right now if not the city.
    Have done this 2 weeks in a row.
    Keg and Lantern --> Torst
    Plus they are right near the Subway so its perfect!

    Keg and Lantern was good but not great. Have to go with Singlecut, admittedly biased though because the brewery manager is a friend of mine.

    I hear what you are syaing. Singlecut has been getting much better in my opinion as of late.
    One my first two visits to the brewery though I had 2 whole tastings and maybe one beer I thought was above average. Where as now I really enjoy Full Stack and Mo Shuggie I just had last night and boy was it tasty.
    The difference with Keg and Lantern to me is their stuff was great to me right off the bat and covering the core beers.
    To each their own...

    I just went to Keg & Lantern. Wow I have to say I didn't expect that many in house brews! I would think they would have 4 - 5 taps dedicated to the nano-brew, but I saw around 20 different in house brews on the tap list. I had the Green Eyes and the Lineage IPA. Both tasted nice, if not a little too fresh. I'll def go back to try their other offerings.

    I didn't know where to put this but this is Gun Hill BA Void of Light. It was good. Very easy to drink at 10% but definitely didn't wow me. Everything was a little too subtle for my liking.
    Quick edit: huh. The bar had it listed at 10% but according to BA it's 8%. Explains the subtlety I guess.

    I recently searched for Void of Light, found it and was disappointed. Not like a foreign export at all to me at least. Needs more of a bittersweet taste and also more carbonation, for the style.
