Have you had the BBA WBS? If not, I'd think your'd be surprised. I agree that they have much to work on, but this was fantastic and is not given much credit (even other ratings).

Have you tried First Cut? Nugget Nectar is amazing, but I think First Cut edges it out. Very nice aroma and taste with the mango coming in slightly at the back.

I have had the BBA War Bonds. I liked it. Don't mean to take anything away from your opinion of it, just was surprised that they were mentioned in this thread.

Went there for dinner Friday. Overall, I liked it. Burger was good, but the bun was a little underwhelming. Fried Pickles and scotch egg were both tasty. Good dining experience on the whole, for sure.

I love nugget nectar but I have to go with Yards Philly pale ale since it's avaliable year round and I drank a ton of it when I lived in philly.

Surprised no one has said Free Will's Ralphius yet. IMO the best BBA stout in the state.

Good to know. I've had their Brown Beard and that was great.

I haven't had it in a minute, but Yards Cape of Good Hope is pretty damn tasty.

More like favorite beer, period: Tired Hands Oblivex. Neshaminy Creek's County Line IPA was my last bulk purchase, but what I have left of the case is 6 months old or so.

Victory is the finest brewery in PA and can certainly compete on a national level. Number 1 choice would be Hop Devil, with Prima Pils a very close 2nd. A hidden gem is St. Boniface in Lancaster county. Hard to find but try their Paideia if you can.

The Paideia is an awesome hoppy pale ale....very unknown.

I'd have to disagree with the Victory piece, but that's what makes this hobby so great. As far as St. Boniface, I've only had the Libation. That was very good IMO.

Happy and surprised to see Oblivex in this thread. I gravitate more towards Tired Hands's bottles stuff, but that one is easily among my favorites of theirs.

There are a lot of great beers brewed in Pennsylvania right now and over the last decade. I always scratch my head when I see PA BAs, trading for beer. Like seriously you couldn't tick 10% of the beers in your own state let alone everywhere.

personally it is a toss up for me between Victory's Uncle Teddys Bitter or Troegs Troegenator. If I'm at the bar id take a large cask pour of bitter all day.. at home dopplebock to the dome.

Agreed. That is why I won't trade. Not worth the extra shipping costs. We have so many good breweries who produce great beer. I'd be fine if I was limited to PA beer the rest of my life.

I mean I do love High West-ified (and pretty much all of Lagunitas beer), but there's always SMS.
