I like Odell 5 barrel for an English style. Half Acre Daisy Cutter for a west coast style. Two Brother Sidekick for a balanced citra pale. ZD is more of an IPA but great and Yum Yum too. Red Chair is a nice seasonal. Brickstone pale ale is top notch, probably my favorite of the bunch.

Do you mean traditional malty American Pale Ale? Or the IPA-lites that breweries are putting out as pale ales now? I'd say Sierra Nevada for the first catagory, Hoppy Birthday for the second.

I would have said zombie dust but it's damn near impossible to find around my area (why I went with Alpha King, I've only had the dust one time at a bar after much searching). I've been planning to try red chair since we just got it in at the local liquor store, based on the feedback from this thread I'll be picking some up tomorrow.

Rare I like a pale ale, but currently, I'm a bit infatuated with Burial Brewing's, "Pipehawk Mountain Ale". Bit sweet to offset the lighter Hops bitterness.
