I'm sure this has come up many times before but Favorite seasonal beers? and also are there any beers you would like to see released as a year-round offering?
That's more difficult that I first thought. Christmas Ales are at a great time of the year, but then you have seasonals aligned with the end of snowy winter, etc... All things considered, I'm leaning towards winter warmers. I for one don't really want to see seasonals offered year-round as it would distract from their association with a given season (Bell's Oberon this time of year/end of winter, GLBC Christmas Ale and family from out of town, etc).
I originally voted for winter because I couldn't think of other seasonal that got me excited... Then I went: HOLY SHIT. FRESH HOPS. Fall.
Winter hate the weather love the brew BA Silhouette Abrasive CW BA stouts BW FW Sucaba, Parabola(close) Black Note
Fall...!! For starters there's Southern Tier Pumking. And I'm not a huge Sam Adams fan but I do like their Fall beers. And I generally prefer ales over lager but I love the Marzen's in the Fall...! Woah... It's not even Spring... well astronomically speaking it is but here in wet, gray, Northern Pennsylvania it still looks like winter but with a little less snow.... anywho... don't make me nostalgic for Fall when it it's barely spring... I've had a few already today... can you tell.......?
Fall here too. Love the octoberfest's, sitting by fires while the leaves are falling drinking said octoberfest's.....
I like to drink the Imperials stouts released in Spring once Winter comes.... But I don't care for most winter warmers. And I love Fall's fresh hop beers but I do not like pumpkin beers. There's always a good seasonal release I enjoy. I love saisons in early Spring. Bruery's Saison de Lente has become an Easter tradition.
Winter Warmers are the ultimate seasonal in my opinion. My favourite Winter Warmer is a local brew by Picaroons. Cinnamon, nutmeg, and an excellent warming sensation perfect for a cold day.
