I like that they really go for it at all times but personally don't understand all the hype. Not that I think they make bad beer, most of what I've tried just didn't do much for me. That said, Hopstache was really f-ing good. Also wish I hadn't missed out on Goodnight Bodacious, feel like I'd have been into that one.

I've only had some of their regular offerings since I'm in WI. I do like Pontius Road Pils and I'm not a big Pils drinker.
Would love to try so many more.

This is pretty much impossible for me to answer. That being said, I'm greatly looking forward to Bourbon Barrel Woodmaster...

Herman, can you answer why almost none of these great beers are on tap now?

We all know Short's has approximately 1,768,231 different beers in their catalog, while they have close to that many tap handles it is awfully hard for them to put all 1,768,231 beers on at once. We have only listed maybe 50 or so beers in this thread, so 50/1,768,231 is roughly 0.00002% of their catalog. All things considered, 0.00002% isn't much to complain about.

I'm sorry the brews you're longing for are not on tap right now. We brew a lot of different beers and only have 20 tap handles at our pub. Our brewery is also very seasonally oriented -- many of the offerings you mentioned are more likely to be found during the late Fall and Winter months.

I think we have some real nice ones flowing right now. September Bliss, Crut's Cuties, Kentucky Common, 45 Minnow are all solid. I really like this year's Autumn Ale too.

Make your way back in between Thanksgiving and New Year's and I'm sure you'll get some of the ones you mentioned in a pint glass.

Autumn and Crut's are both stellar.

Picked up a couple of Controversius Maximus bottles this evening, loved it when I bought it at the brewery over the summer and was happy to see that several bottle shops around Grand Rapids received recently. Kind of weird that that the date on the bottle is 04/05/13? Anyone have thoughts on this? It still tastes good although the hops seem a bit more muted this time perhaps? Still my favorite offering from them, nonetheless.
