The 4 pack brings some extra size, but the 6 pack has more in number. Pretty close fight. My guess is it will be decided by price.

All else being equal - would you pay $1 more for a 6-pack of 12oz cans than for a 4-pack of 16oz cans?

Absolutely. the price per ounce is close enough. Were it more than 2 dollars difference, i'd probably stick a 4 pack of 16 ounces.

    I'd pay a dollar more for a 6 pack of 12 oz.

here's a bigger question - would you pay more for a 6pack of Resin cans as opposed to a 4pack? Most 4packs (depending where you live) of Resin are $8.49 - $11.99. That puts a 6pack of Resin at $11.99-15.99

Near me, they are $9.99/4-pack. That comes out to $15.00 for a 6 pack (price per ounce staying the same).

I would pay that price, but if there were any differences once its boiled down to cost per ounce, i'd go with whatever is less expensive for me. Less than $15 dollars and I would buy them without question

Yup, already do for other 6 packs of big IPAs.

I personally prefer 4packs of pricier things. If I want more than 4, then I can get 8.

So it seems like $15 is the proverbial line in the sand?

Ok, but would you pay $18 for a 6pack? Resin as a 6pack might push $15.99 in nyc, but Hi-Res is going to push $17.99 (both will be cheaper in outer markets)

Interesting, that was what we thought all along. And if someone wants 12, they can buy three 4packs. But we find it is quite rare that someone will crush a 6pack of Resin or Hi-Res in a single sitting.

Well if it were the only way it was available, then yes. Dollar for oz, it still makes sense.

But if it's what I would honestly prefer, it's a 4 pack of 12 oz. cans.

To me it makes more sense from a pricing standpoint, but also due to the fact that I'm not personally going to open more than 2 Hi-Res in a session. If that. Big flavor, big abv. A four pack works better for my consumption style when dealing with a bigger beer.

Only based on the current price of Res sold locally at $9.99/4-pack ($2.50 a can). Extrapolating that price out to a 6 pack would make it $15.00/6-pack.

Sold less than $15.00 dollars and i'd have zero hesitation in buying it. Sold more than that, and I would opt for the 4-pack. Obviously that price would scale depending on the current prices for other locally sold 4-packs and calculated for its 6-pack cost.

The resin is awesome followed by the hi-res as a close second. Love alot of the six point offerings but there ipas to me are better than the rest.

3Beans was solid. None of their other beers have overwhelmed me.

price points and business aside, aesthetically I am a bigger fan of the 16 ounce can. That appealed to me the very first time I saw a Sixpoint beer, before I'd even gotten to try it. In the 4 or 5 years since then I've seen more of the 16 ounce cans (often times in 4 packs) popping up in stores from other breweries, but I always think of Sixpoint first and how great it is to drink one of those tall cans on a warm summer's night

did you get to try the full lineup?

that is a compliment, right? After all, you don't want to be "overwhelmed" you want to be pleasantly satisfied. :-)

Thanks. Aesthetics are great but people also make practical decisions when purchasing beer, as evident by this forum. It is good that folks like you though still place a value on aesthetics.

Drive a bit south and you can get some. ;-)

Six packs in your tall thin cans would be just absolute winning for the core brands. Makes Bengali at the beach all that much better when in the thin 12 oz cans.

Ive tried all the core beers and almost all the seasonals but being from long island dont see to much of the limited release stuff coming out this way. I could be wrong though. Im a hop head at heart but nothing like a cold fresh Crisp on a hot summer day..! but really the resin is aweome.. id put it up against a hopslam, sucks, or dirtwolf any day of the week..

I like the price point of Resin at $9.99-$10.99. Very few times can i justify a 6 pack at $15. the $10 is easier to swallow.
