Had my last Hi-Res of a 4pk tonight, and I swear that beer got better with each I had. Time to pick up another mini-box.

No I have not tried the diesel yet, nor have I tried the Imperial Otis. But I'll put them on the list to try.

Have had thus far from SixPoint Resin, Crisp, Apollo, Hi Res, 3 Beans, Autumnation, Global Warmer and Righteous.

By far my favorite beer for the golf course goes to Crisp. Man I could enjoy that beer any day anytime and not feel inhibited. If I was grabbing the best all around though I'd go for Resin. I think that is one of the most underrated beers on this site by far.

Either they got better with each one you had, or it was your judgment getting increasingly impaired ;-)

Interesting to hear your note about the Crisp...if you are a golfer, we have a brand new one coming out this year...can't wait to share it with you, its totally different

and the award for the most obscure list of Sixpoint beers goes to.....

    :-)

I tried them all when they hit Ohio, haven't been back since. Really just seemed like variations of 2 things hop in the front, bitter in the back & adjusted depending on the style. Very underwhelming, and I haven't tried their darker stuff ala 3 Beans etc, but I'm willing to try. Nothing left me wanting more, just disappointed & wondering why there seems to be such an obvious difference between the brewery & the contract brewer. Regardless, Sweet Action, Bengali & Righteous were a let down though I would try these same 3 on tap before the can ever again.

You're definitely missing out if you have not tried any of the beers in two years. The palate profile you described is most definitely not the current composition of our offerings.

I love Resin, but haven't tried Hi Resin. Any noticeable differences??

Just got to try Hi-Res via trade for the first time... Unfortunately that's the only one I've tried so far, but they're definitely on my list of Wants now!

There is a significant difference between the flavor profile, hop character and aroma, and balance between the Resin and Hi-Res. It should be noted that this difference is intentional.

Resin goes after that dank, pine-needle type hop bitterness, one that tingles all the way through each sip.

Hi-Res, on the other hand, emphasizes the "juice" and "perfume" of the hop. It is almost as if you are drinking a tropical hop juice drink.

Each formulation highlights and emphasizes different qualities of the hops, and different strains of hops themselves.

Triple Sweet Action was actually made for one of the @BeerAdvocate collaborations for @BeerForBeasts. We only made it one time, but we managed to save a few kegs that we released out to bars for special events, including some charity events in the NYC area.

I'll throw in another 3Beans vote. Diesel and Hi-Res close behind in my top three.
