The specs remain the same (IBU, ABV, SRM) but the quality has become more dynamic.

Keith, I had a Resin last night and FWIW I did not perceive "more alcohol". I personally would not describe that beer as being "greenhouse filled with tropical fruit and pine trees". For me the dominant quality of Resin was the heavy malt backbone which was borderline cloying to my palate. A well made beer but not exactly suited to my personal tastes.

    Cheers!

    Jack,

To be fair, you may have consumed one of the prior batches. Perhaps a side-by-side tasting is in order ;-)

Shane, a very nice person sent me some fresh Sixpoint beers.

The Resin I drank last evening had a best by date of Sept. 20. 2014 (which is 3 months from now). Would you consider this beer to be non-fresh?

    Cheers!

The only one I've tried is Hi-Res. I have a hard time believing anything could top it.

Well let's put it this way...not as fresh as the stuff coming off the canning line next week! I could snag a few of those Resin cans and you could do a side-by-side. How's that sound?

    keep an open mind!

i have to say..since starting this thread ive already tried such a vast amount of beers from breweries all over the country and every brewery has their jewels and their "meh" beers...i can honestly say ive never tried a "meh" sixpoint beer and the crisp, gorilla warfare and 3beans are among my all time favs...i almost wish this brewery wasnt from my home state because i probably look like such a homer but f*ck it right? by the way @Sixpoint ...may i propose sixbeans?

What do you propose by sixbeans? Are you saying that we should make a beer that contains six different types of beans?

    1. coffee beans

    2. cacao beans

    3. romano beans

    4. vanilla beans

    5. peanuts

    6. ?????

Interesting enough, the only real "beans" above are the peanuts and the romano beans. Coffee, cacao, and vanilla are called beans, but are not in the family leguminosae.

But they're still beans in my book :-)
