    Shane,

Please report back your findings (and maybe you could convince somebody else from the team to try a side-by-side tasting too?).

I can only relate how I personally drink from a can: I place my lower lip along the rim of the can and pour the beer into my mouth; by no means do I completely cover the can's opening. Maybe because of my personal can drinking
technique I am able to 'better' perceive beer aroma from the can?

    Cheers!

    Jack

P.S. I side comment about drinking from the can wrt sanitary drinking: cleaning the top of the can with a wet paper towel (or something similar) is an easy way to mitigate an unsanitary top of the can. I will freely admit that I personally do not make this effort; I am either just lazy or just unconcerned about some 'dirt' on the top of my can.

    Jack,

Before the proliferation of science, people did notice in the medieval period that metal rimmed glassware stopped the spread of infection (most notoriously the bubonic plague). They may have not known it was because silver is naturally antibacterial, but it did do the job of not allowing bacteria to fester along the rim of the glass where people put their mouths (and for people who shared glassware).

Naturally, a glass drinking chalice with a metal rim is going to be way more sanitary than drinking out of a wooden cup (wood is filled with scratches and harbors all types of infectious agents and bacteria).

    Pretty interesting stuff IMHO

Resin takes first place for me because of availability, but 3Beans and Global warmer are also favorites when in season.

There's nothing that tastes like resin and hi res , so hi res would be my favorite six point for how satisfying it is.

Resin was my favorite sixpoint for a while.
But I think that Global Warmer may have replaced it.
Also honorable mention for hi-res, unfortunately I'm a sissy and can't handle more than one per sesh.

I picked up the only two 12oz Bengalis that Total Wine had while I was on vacation in West Palm Beach. Great stuff. My Wegamans in VA supposedly had it and sold out briefly. They have the other usual's like Resin.

RAD is probably the worst "beer" I've ever tasted.

If I have to pick a favorite, it's Autumnation. Something about the season and flavors together. Just a solid experience. All summer, I've been pounding the Crisp, Sweet Action, and Bengali (which took over Two Hearted as my go-to canned IPA). RAD I found a little too thick and juicy, guess I just expected more of a refreshing, light brew, especially given the ABV. 3Beans was my intro to the brand, and I loved it, but even working in NYC I can't seem to find any more of the BA ReBeans. Global Warmer was PHENOMENAL. And obviously Res and Hi-Res are the shit, but don't really like drinking IIPA's every day

Without at doubt it has to be Apollo... only available on draft, and probably the best Kristalweizen out there

Hmmmm, user on this site who only contributes to this thread to provide misleading information:

Sorry to "hear" that but as you know RAD is not really a beer, its a Cycliquid, meaning it straddles the boundary between a typical beer (made from solely fermented cereal grains, hops, water, and yeast) and other alternative fermented beverages.

Of course, if Sixpoint only made beers in order to cater to the whims of the majority on this site, we'd limit our selves to high-gravity IPAs and Imperial Stouts. But we're much more dynamic than that, and the culture of risk-taking is part of our DNA since inception.

    Cheers!
