I really dig sours, but unfortunately we don't get too many in my neck of the woods.

It's a bit price-prohibitive  , but Avery Fortuna remains my #1 Sour.

I have no idea, but it doesn't belong on BA. Might as well add Kombucha, Cider and Mead too then.

I love sours but they seem to be a bit confusing to me I assume anything that has a sour bite would be a sour. Correct? Sour=allowing yeast to run wild?

For me so far, it's a 5 way toss up between Cantillon Classic, Drie Fonteinen Oude Gueze green label, Rodenbach Caracter Rouge, Jackie O's Dynamo Hum, and Russian River Supplication.

Probably because it's fermented from malt and yeast, even though it's non-alcoholic. At least, that's what I think.

Stale, hard rye bread. Wouldn't really call that malt.

I've probably only had 10 total over the years, maybe 15, and Supplication was the best that I tried.

My favorite sour has probably been Avery's Oud Floris oud bruin.

Bought a bottle fresh and then found a bottle reappear on the shelves during GABF week with about 6 months on it....and that 6 month old Oud Floris was absolutely amazing, IMO.

This was my first beer of 2016, and god damn what a way to start the year. Incredible beer.

As a go-to, Avery's Raspberry sour gets my vote.

Free samples of La Folie and Le Terroir at the New Belgium tour. Doesn't get better than that.
