My favorite thus far has to be 3F Lente. But the following are all pretty close to the top.

    Eszett
    Zomer
    SH Black Raspberry Lambic
    C&C La Folie
    Rodenbach Vintage
    3F OG Vintage '07
    Armand and Tommy
    Lou Pepe Kriek
    Fou Foune

Drie Fonteinen Schaerbeekse Kriek from 2010 was probably the most dry sour, mouth puckering beer ive had this year.

Cascade Barrel House. Best sours you will find, and I've had a lot of em. Russian River makes great sours too, and of course the belgian farmhouse / gouze beers are all great (cantillon, tilquin, saison dupont etc.)

But if you are talking really "sour" beers..........Cascade is ridiculous, an entire operation dedicated to sour beers. Sang Noir, Sang Royale, and the 25+ others they release during the year are all awesome

Not in Boston (besides $30 Golden Blends and $40+ Schaerbeekses)

    My favorites:

Cantillon, 3F, Tilquin.. obviously. I think Cantillon Gueuze is overrated and 3F Kriek underrated, but thats just me.

Just about anything Hanssens except Experimental Cassis which really just doesn't work for me
Night Shift's Cape Codder Weisse and Ever Weisse
    Allagash Coolship Red + Cerise
Lindemans Cuvee Renee is a must because: 1. it's very good 2. it's very cheap 3. it's very available
St. Louis Gueuze Fond Tradition as well... I think this is a criminally underrated beer (although, N.B., I had a pour of this on tap recently at an excellent, excellent bar and it was TERRIBLE, maybe it was mislabeled, but it also maybe has substantial differences year to year?)
and finally Allagash Respect Your Elderberries & Mattina Rossa are still the two best sours I've ever had

Can someone help me pronounce Flanders "Oud Bruin?" Thanks. I thought there was a website or post with a bunch of brewery / style pronunciations but I can't find it.

Rodenbach Vintage is excellent. If you can find it at a decent price point, pick one up. Grand Cru does just fine as well.

Consecration, Sanctification, and Temptation are all excellent. I find Supplication to be a bit of a letdown, but maybe that's just me.

Can't say much about 3F, Cantillon, and Tilquin that hasn't already been said. Rose de Gambrinus might be the most sour beer I've ever had that wasn't a Bruery train wreck, so if you really want to pucker up, give that one a go.

Bruery Hottentoth at the Davis Beer Shoppe yesterday. Tasty. It's even better when the weather is hot.

I work at an alehouse and my boss has been hoarding beers for years to cellar. He turned me on to sours with some 2002 & 2005 Hanssen's Oude Gueuze & Kriek. Maybe they've set the wrong standard for me, but they seem to be at the top of my sour list so far.
Been enjoying some Sante Adairius West Ashley lately too!

    re: Fond Tradition
In the past I've been underwhelmed but ok with this beer, but in a recent blind tasting with 15 other geuzes it stood out as being virtually undrinkable. If desperate for a geuze some afternoon and having only that as an option I'd probably chance it again, but since Cuvee Rene is just as inexpensive and available, generally, and I make it a point to have Drie Fonteinen and Tilquin and Oud Beersel on hand...

Yeah you're right. I might have to spend way to much money and clear off a shelf before I don't have the option to.
