Never had a less than world class sour from RRBC. Favorites are Beatification, Supplication & Temptation.

Sour in the Rye was very good and tart, but lacked complexity and so damn OVERPRICED it made me sick. Still enjoy the Bruery's lineup however...

Yeah, I will say that I do like Cuvee Renee better. I don't know- like I said, the last time I had Fond Tradition, it was absolutely godawful. Perhaps the first couple times I had it something else was going on.

I picked one up yesterday (haven't seen it before) for the first time when I went in to ask about RuinTen. I must be poor because I thought it was expensive at $12 :/ I haven't had it yet and I hope its worth it

    Abbey St. Bon Chien (2007)
    Rodenbach Vintage
    The Dissident (2010)

And would say RR Supplication and Consecration, but I've had some inconsistency with those (1/2 time superb, 1/2 the time solid, but something off)

I have Beatification, Oude Tart, Sour in the Rye, and 3F Golden Blend on deck to try :-)

Some of my favorite sours by style...
    • Gueuze
      • Cantillon Classic Gueuze
      • Oude Gueuze Tilquin
      • St. Louis Gueuze Fond Tradition
    • American Wild
      • Tart Lychee
      • Supplication
      • La Terroir
    • Berliner Weissbier
      • Hottenroth
      • New Glarus BW
    • Lambic
      • Cantillon Kriek 100% Lambic
    • Flanders Oud Bruin
      • La Folie
Also, can I count Deschutes Conflux No. 1 as a sour? It's faint, but there's definitely a sour twinge to it.

There are a few more in my inventory that may join this list if they live up to my hope/expectations: Green Monster, Oude Tart, Tart of Darkness and Cascade Figaro, Kriek and Apricot.

Tart of Darkness is the only sour ive really had. That was like sucking on a warhead, in a good way. It caught me off guard, but I want it again really badly. Damn Connecticut and your uninviting liquor laws.
