favorite spots in NYC

    taking an impromptu trip to NYC tomorrow evening. sad to say, I'm quite unfamiliar with the town regarding it's beer culture. I'm going to do my best to make it Lower East (wish I could make it to Brooklyn but there just won't be time) but will probably be centered more around Times Square/Midtown. what spots should I try and hit up?

    I don't know ton of places but know of One Mile House on LES and Beer Culture in Midtown.

    Times Square:

    1. Pony Bar (45th St. & 10th Ave.)
    2. Beer Culture (45th between 8th & 9th Ave.)
    3. Beer Authority (40th St. & 8th Ave.)
    4. 9th Ave. Vintner (9th Ave. Between 46th & 47th St.) Ok place but they have BC Barleywine on tap at the moment
    5. Valhalla (54th St. & 9th Ave.)

    LES:

    1. Top Hops
    2. New Beer Distributors
    3. Malt & Mold
    4. One Mile House

    Also in midtown, Rattle N Hum and the Ginger Man (both around 34th st and 5th avenue)

    One piece of advice: don't go to Beer Authority unless you want the full tourist treatment or a beer you didn't order.
