Great to see we are discussing beers to drink in the warmer months! I typically drink SN summer lager/pils, Uinta Brewery's Kolsch style ale, Uinta's seasonal summer blonde ale, several pale ales and IPAs, and a good German summer pils. I also like Belgium witbier, German hefeweizen. and helles. These particular beers, IMO, are perfect summer beverages.

Given my luck with Firestone Walker, it's a safe bet that it's always out of date. ... :slight_frown:

    It's a trick question!

There is no best summer beer - any good beer is good all year!

    Ha!

I tend to down tons of AALs during the summer.

Genny cream ale, old mik, coors, high life (you get it. ) But if its craft, its summer love, headwater pale ale. Actually any lager and pale ale.

Love that Brooklyn bucket above. I see it's available to purchase on their site. Oh dear.

I will second Smuttynose Hayseed. I hope that beer sells well and stays in production.
Adding Southampton's Keller Pils and Summer Blonde to the conversation.
Anything from Germany that says "original" on the label.

I could survive on Victory alone this summer, between Summer Love cans, their new Kirsch Gose, and their summer variety pack. When I open that first kolsch from the pack, I'll give @JackHorzempa a "cheers" followed by a line of exclamation points.

... still haven't tried... but I here that Morph's Whirlpool out of Everett, MA might be the one for the warmer weather. Any beer that rates higher than its ABV (4.1 avg vs. 4.0%)... has me very curious!

Really enjoyed Odell's St. Lupulin last summer. Looking forward to this year's batch.

I like that beer too. Seeing your avatar, I thought I'd mention that the beer reminds me of an English pale a little even if the construction wouldn't suggest this.

Things have gotten very much better by me lately- I'm just hoping they keep it up! I'm doing my part, as well . I've already made repeat trips for Double Jack and Pivo Pils.

FWIW- I emailed FW about the can packs, and there definitely is supposed to be a date stamped on it. Either I missed it, or some escaped without being stamped. I'll check the next time I'm up at Cable beverages.

If it's for thirst then stay below 4% ABV. Above that strength beer dehydrates you which rather defeats the object. I'm spoilt for choice here and unlike many of my compatriots feel that a good mild hits the spot. But anything which is moreish and invites me to spend the afternoon in the pub.

Summer love, any kind of gose, and nooner pils. Being in fla I can pretty much kill these 10-11 months out of the year. Summer especially
