Surly Hell is probably my favorite Summer release. Others I enjoy are Deschutes Twilight, and of course, Oberon.

Oberon, Summer Love, and even though Summerfest is great I usually drink more Kellerweis during this time of the year. Really like Great Lakes' Holy Moses too...

In before "I have air conditioning, so I drink any beer all year round." No shit, so does everyone else. It's just that many people drink more of certain styles or particular brands during different seasons.

For me, it's Pilsners, IPAs (really hoping to try Coronado Baby Idiot soon), Hefeweizens (ze German ones), Saisons and some good ole Adjunt Lagers...even some with limes.

We had to go this long before xnicknj mentioned DFH Festina Peche? Maybe the best summer beer ever. Crisp, clean, tart, low alcohol, just refreshing as hell.

Oberon is my old standby with All Day IPA becoming a go to as well.

I also like Golden Cap from New Holland on occasion.

Two of my top 10 faves are coming!

Devil Dancer (Founders) - one of my first "holy-shit-this-is-good" beers - gets an annual (limited) June release - I wait on this the way some folks wait on their KBS

Gnomegang (Ommegang) - one of, if not the most, "luxurious"-tasting beers I've ever had - confirmed by their brewmaster to be getting a summer release in 12oz bottles as part of a gift box - gobbled up the bombers last year, and even the bomber gift boxes that had it in them

The Summer is young, and this being my first full Summer that I'll be enjoying Craft beer this Summer will be a great experiment for me. So far I am seeing that I love beers with a blend of sweet/sour/hoppiness. Here are three that I love so far on a hot Summers day:
    • Short's Freedom of '78
    • Dogfish Head Aprihop
    • Brewery Vivant "Zaison Imperial Saison Ale" Found here: Zaison
      • I'm currently the only one that has reviewed this beer. I'm not good at reviews, but it helps me keep track of what I liked and what I didn't like and why.
These also will be Summer staples in my beer fridge:
    • Founders All Day IPA
    • Bell's Two Hearted
    • Founders Red's Rye
    • Centennial IPA
    • I also love me a good Torpedo and Avery IPA poured from the can.
    • And finally, Zombie Dust! I'll travel the 2+ hours one way each time I run out I think...
It's going to be a GREAT Summer!

Old Style and SA Summer Ale seem to satisfy my thirst, but an occasional RIS doesn't hurt.

Nothing beats a good German Hefeweissen in the summer heat
Also love some good pilseners, witbiers, Duvel and the occasional IPA.

Maybe I need to try it again but the 2 times I've had Oberon I just flat didn't like it.

Been in IPA mode for a couple weeks. Don't see it receding soon. Fresh sixer of Union Jack queued up.

Saint Arnold's Summer Pils is my go-to for triple digit weather. Really like Brooklyn Summer, too. I'd include Karbach's Weisse Versa, but that's year round goodness.

Gotta go with Gumballhead, Oberon, and now maybe an All-day IPA. Nothing though like a Two-hearted chilled in the lake this time of year.
